Attractive, solid stools. Highly recommended.
Very nice stools! I needed a couple of simple stools for casual seating at my kitchen island. Reading other reviews and just looking at pics of competitive products, I liked the way these looked best and liked the 6 braces instead of the usual 4. I am very happy with these stools, especially for what I think was a very good price for the quality. They are nicely finished (for a rustic sort of looking stool) and the seat is smooth and solid. With the 6 braces they feel very sturdy and I don't hesitate to lift a foot up on the brace. Plus, the height is perfect for sitting at the island for eating, working on a laptop, or just chatting. Frankly, it's not often these days, that I am ever close to 100% satisfied with a product but I am at about 97% with these considering quality, appearance and price. The fit on a couple of the braces was a tiny bit off and the holes in the bottom of the seat were too, just enough to make it momentarily challenging to get the seat on, but not enough to take away a star. Plus, every connection is supported by long wood screws, not just the glue.Assembly: Actually easy! I've done my share of "self-assembled" stuff and these were a "no-brainer". Yep, have that rubber hammer handy (I also use a cloth of some sort to protect the shinny parts as I bang on them) and a good screwdriver. Only problem with assembly was that the little containers of glue practically took a vice to squeeze and one of them was sort of dried up.Just a little warning: don't panic like I did when you open the boxes and only see 4 braces. The two smallest ones are in the little box inside with the glue and screws.Summary: I think this was a great purchase; quality especially for a reasonable price, nice appearance, solid feel with glue and screws on reasonably sized braces and a really nice seat.Highly recommended! If I had the room or the need, I would definitely buy these again.

She's tricky...
The stools are solid, not terribly difficult to put together, but do require a bit of pushy / pully action.Just don't do like me and get heavy-handed. One of the braces wouldn't go all the way in, so I (in my infinite wisdom) brought out the bigger hammer. A couple of smacks and we were close to home. One more good wack, I says to myself. And down came the hammer. Then I says: Self, that might have been a bit much because you just snapped the leg. Oopsies...The good news... since it's actually solid wood, I was able to glue the leg in place (I highly recommend Titebond) and the put a mending bracket on it. I've jumped up and down on the stool several times (quality control, you know) and she's solid as a rock.Have bought another set to complete the bar.

Good for the price, not perfect
So for the price, these are pretty great. They seem very sturdy, made entirely of some sort of hardwood, with an attractive wood texture. I like how the screw holes are all completely hidden from view, the seat is curved, and the corners are smoothed. Very nice design. The cons are:1. I've assembled 4, and none are perfectly even as-is. Adding Scotch Felt Pads (not included, small extra cost) to the bottom basically fixes this issue. No more clunking sounds, protects the floor, and significantly less rocking.2. Nothing protecting the wood footrest (like a metal cover).3. Boy, good luck getting the screws on the smallest "D" crossbars perfectly tight! Doesn't seem to matter with everything else tightened though.4. I hope you have a high quality screwdriver (I do).Still, I'm pretty happy with these overall, especially for the price.

Seems well made
I just put them together but they seem good quality. The joints are very snug so you might need a hammer as I did to get them flush. I like that they came with wood glue as well as screws. However, one screw snapped when assembling. I think this might have been partly my fault for tightening to much maybe? 🤔 I haven't done a sit test yet because the glue is still setting up so hopefully they are as sturdy and well made as I believe. They are definitely made better than some of the furniture I have purchased from Amazon. I would recommend.

Love!
These stools are very solid and look beautiful. Many customers have discussed the difficulty in putting them together... I have a some suggestions to make things easier:1. Pre-assemble the stools completely to make sure that everything fits well. Some of the pieces on mine needed to be adjusted slightly.2. Make sure that you have your own bottle of a good wood glue.3. Use a power drill to start each of the screws and then tighten completely with a regular screwdriver.4. Make sure to have some Goo Gone on hand and after removing the stickers, wipe slightly and the residue comes right off.Extra Tip: To ensure that the legs are level, after starting all of the screws, turn the stools upright and sit on them. Then finish tightening. (Directions say not to use for 24 hours. This is so that the wood glue has a chance to dry completely. Sitting on them for a moment to make sure that they are level will NOT hurt anything. Just make sure to turn them back over for the 24 hour drying period so that the wood glue does not drip from the pocket holes).I would absolutely buy these again and feel that they are a definite BANG for your buck.

Good quality stools
We got sticker shock when shopping for rustic stools in our local furniture stores. These are good quality. We bought 3 of them a couple of years ago and just purchased 2 more. Highly recommend these, we sit at our kitchen island more than the dinner table now. My in-laws liked them so much they bought 3 for their home. Glue and screws are provided. Requires a little work to put them together but once the legs and cross braces are glued & screwed together they are very sturdy. I’ve even stood on them a couple of times to reach things in the top cabinets.
