Superb device, amazing value, 100% recommendation
I have wanted an LDM (Laser Distance Measurement) device for a long time but couldn't really justify the high cost. Of course, like most things the price eventually comes down but all too often, so does the quality. Well, not in this case. This device is not only inexpensive, it has every feature I could ever need and is packaged in a robust case (IP54 rated for dust and moisture), with an excellent inverse LCD display that is crisp, bright and clear. There are many modes and not all laser based. An inclinometer continuously reads out the angle of the device to the ground, so you can measure the slope of, say a stair railing. Then, by pointing the red laser dot at a surface with enough reflectivity you can measure the distance from the LDM to the surface with an accuracy of +/-2mm. Of course, there are more useful modes than simple distance measurements. For example by following the prompts you can take a series of measurements to calculate the Area or Volume of a space. Very useful for planning carpet or HVAC work perhaps. The device can also add and subtract a series of measurements, if say you don't have a single line of sight to the distance you need.My favorite modes are the Pythagorean modes and these appeal to the geometry geek in me. Pythagoras taught us that by knowing two sides of a right angle triangle we can calculate the third. Using basic high school math we could measure the height of a wall by measuring horizontal distance to the base of the wall and then the diagonal distance to the top. Sure enough the LDM can talk us through this. . Now imagine a 2 story home with a hallway that extends from the ground to the roof. You are standing on a first floor balcony and need to make the same measurement... how do you do that if you are not on the ground floor? The answer? Perform a double Pythagorean calculation... That's another mode of this device and it walks you through the steps. If I sound enthusiastic, I am. This is an excellent little device and I recommend it 100%.Documentation is in several languages and is clear if brief. The device comes with batteries, a lanyard and a carry case. It has a 99 deep memory of past measurements and is very simple to operate once you use it a few times. Packaging is simple, mostly recyclable cardboard, just one plastic insert.

Easy to use
This is a super easy to use tool for measuring big spaces. It's so much nicer than using a tape measure! The display is easy to read.

Sturdy, big screen, single-measurement height of distant object using angle
I have a few laser distance measures but got this Aicevoos unit because it has angle measurement and a big screen.Unit is sturdy. The screen is big and easy to read. It's backlit which is harder to read in bright light. Buttons have clear icons. Remembers preferred unit setting when powered off. Always keeps previous measurements for recall later. Has continuous mode which takes measurements quickly and displays min/max of them. This unit uses the angle measurement to simplify height measurement from a distance: hold unit on ground and point at top of object, then it tells you the height of the object and distance to its base. Ones without angle readout require an extra measurement to the base of the object. This mode is the last mode in the cycle and easy to miss after the other standard Pythagorean modes.Has lots of units and display formats: Meters (to 0.001), inches w/ decimal (to 0.1), inches w/ fraction (to 1/16), feet w/ decimal (to 0.001), feet' inches" fraction (to 1/16)Modes: linear, area, volume, Pythagorean to measure height in various ways, angle-based Pythagorean requiring only one measurement.I compared this with two other units and it was within 2-4mm of them. At night I measured 58m away.

Useful tool for my project.
I wanted to enclose my porch to screen it and the regular tape wasnt cutting it so i tried this laser measure. For my project as a DiYer, it offered me what i needed. Mostly precise enough measurements and ease of use. The angle feature provided was actually surprisingly useful. Comes with a small pouch which is nice. SCreen is clear and easy to read. Takes a bit to learn the features, but will be useful for me in the long run.

Love all the functions, and it's super easy to read and follow
I already have and use another laser measuring tool, but it is really difficult to read the screen and all it does it measure distance. If you don't hold it level, you can't be sure you are really getting the right distance. This tool is much, much more capable and better.First of all, the screen is very bright and easy to read. And there is a ton of information on it. There is an electronic level built in and it is continuously showing you the angle. That makes it really easy to hold exactly level or vertical and get the right distance. In fact, you could hold it at 45 degrees or any other angle and get just the right measurement. What a great idea!If you press the function button, it cycles through a surface calculation, volume calculation, hypotenuse calculation, a couple I don't understand, and an awesome inverse hypotenuse (you shine it at an angle and press the button, and it tells you how far to the side and up it was). Each of these has a very helpful picture and shows you how many measurements will be taken. Each time you take one, it moves to the next. So easy to use! I mean, you will have to take a minute or two to learn it if you want to do something besides just meaure a single distance, but I can see this being very labor-saving.Basically, the large number of functions this thing does, the continuous angle calculations, and the excellent interface make this a superior tool. I don't think I'll ever use my old laser measure. At first, I didn't like that it only measured things in inches, but you can actually measure in inches, fractional feet, or feet and inches. And, of course, metric.I can find absolutely nothing to improve on this. 5 stars.

Great Compact and versatile
Great laser measure, long distance 120m, multi functional and saves measurements for quick dimension taking to save jotting down each time.Comes with belt holster case and wrist strap holes at bottom you need a needle to pull the strap end through.

Ottimo metro laser
The media could not be loaded.
