Arrived damaged - terrible packaging
The box/packing from Flotec is a joke. Even with no obvious signs of damage to the box, mine arrived with a dented back cover, which would have been ok, but the cast aluminum back plate that the cover and all of the eletronics attach to was also broken, so game over. Maybe if you buy from someone who re-packages it or adds some bubble wrap you will be ok. Otherwise, you are rolling the dice.That said, I was replacing an existing identical Flotec FP5162 that was at least 15 years old, so it can be a good, durable pump if you manage to get it delivered without damage. Good Pump
It worked like a charm. It's nice that it is not all cast iron - made it cheap and easy to haul around during installation. Primed once and has been working ever since. It makes a little noise, but I need to get an insulated pump box over it and that will do the trick.

Twenty Years With No Problems!
We had this identical pump on our system for nearly 20 years without any kind of failure whatsoever! When the previous pump finally failed, we ordered this identical model to replace it! A “no brainer”!!
