Exactly what I needed and had has lasted so long since I purchased it. I am now buying another for a friend of mine.

Works well, however it did break after nearly 5 years. The center post and bushing are not stainless. They are chrome plated plastic. I’m still going to buy another one to replace the one that broke because it does work well. However it’s not exactly as the description indicates.

Definitely an aftermarket item. Very thin stainless. And VERY sharp cut out holes.The black rubber gasket wore out on my original basket......so I purchased a cheapreplacement. So far, it works well, no draining water out of sink until you turn the dial.It fits in the drain well, but test that you have the basket locked in right before putting your soapIn the sink. And food particles in the sink will be caught in the basket when draining.....they are a bit hard toremove since the cut holes are VERY sharp and you can get cut.

My old strainer fell apart so I needed a new one. Personally I do not like this style, prefer the screw in type but this is the kind my builder used .... guess that choice slipped through the cracks. Anyway I occasionally have dishes I need to hand wash so need a strainer/plug for the non garbage disposal side of my sink. This one fits nicely, stays open when I want it too, and is pretty easy to seal when I need a sink of water. Also keeps the large food particles from going down the drain. Two came in the package and they seem pretty sturdy so I think they will last a long time. They have a nice shiney ss finish and look fine in my sink. Ignore the scratches in my sink it is 11 years old lol. Would buy these again if needed.

I have been using this for last two weeks. The water drain is very fragile. With just water flowing from tap, it blocks the water drain. The central pin is very loose. It can’t handle water flow and jam the sink. Need to pull up to again start the water flow. Basic things about this stainer is not working. Quality wise it’s okay. But due to design flow and with just water flowing from the tap, blocks the water draining, it’s effectiveness is zero. It will be going in trash.Don’t recommend

At 1st I thought it wouldn't fit. But it does and works great

It doesn’t lock in the sink very well and soap and water drains out. It’s hard to have to keep trying to fit the sink stopper and having to keeping moving the dishes to do so and then having to use more soap is a waste of soap and water. Maybe these sink stoppers are better when they come with the sink which I didn’t know until my engineering husband told me. It can work fine when placed just right.
