Featuring three programmes which take an affectionate look back at a bygone era of transport in the agricultural world. Vintage Farm Machinery On Show The Lawrence family have lived at Isleport Farm for 100 years. By way of a celebration they decided to hold a vintage hay and harvesting day down on the farm, to show how some of the work would have been carried out in times gone by. We sent Gerry Burr to see what farming was like 100 years ago and how machines developed from horse drawn days to horse power days. He came across some of the rarest machines in the world, including mowers made by farmers out of old cars and bits of junk. Vintage Tractors On Show Volume 2 More tractor mad enthusiasts gather for a great day out. Presenter Gerry Burr and our cameras capture the sights and sounds of these farmyard workhorses. Some are restored and others are rusty and muddy like the day they were found. You have never seen so many tractors in one place. Tractors and Agricultural Machinery On Show Every year enthusiasts attend vintage vehicle rallies all over the country to see some of the rarest, oldest and most interesting tractors in preservation today. We visited Abby Hill Steam Rally in Yeovil, Somerset, to see tractors of different colours, shapes and sizes, some restored, some as found. Famous names like Ford, Marshal, Fergusson and many more. Plus a look at some real horse power with heavy horses at Bromyard Gala in Herefordshire and to finish, some interesting agricultural machinery. Join Gerry Burr on a trip back in time with tractors and agricultural machinery.
