Great Addition To The Daily Kitchenware
The media could not be loaded. I'm really glad I decided to fork over the cash and grab this product for a couple reasons.1. Because I started my first garden. Then the near 280 i spent on this will pay for itself over time as I'm not constantly spending on fancy soils and fertilizers.2. Using the in-sink garbage disposal is just all around bad. It's bad for the pipes in your house, bad for the environment, and you are wasting good scraps that turn into the best compost fertilizer you will ever use!It is a truly amaIng product and I am glad I found an open space on the counter for it!My biggest reservation before buying was "IS IT GOING TO SMELL" well I've used the heck outta this thing for 3 days now and I promise there is no smell at all. Next question I was wondering if it would be loud. That wouldn't be a deal breaker but in case someone was sleeping I promise you they would stay asleep as it is very quiet! My ocd sometimes prevents me from getting a product if they do not have certain colors or simply by its looks. The neutral factory color and sleekness eased that ocd and the product fits very well matching everything else and it looks really really SLEEK in the kitchen. Next to the fancy microwave it's the nicest looking product in my kitchen! My last worry was the size. I used the description measurements to ensure everything would fit but without the product sitting on the counter you really can't get a proper visual of how things would actually look. The product fits great, depth was the worry and it is truly compact to where it is no where close to being an issue.Overall i highly recommend adding this product into your kitchen, especially if you have a garden on your property. The ease of use and the return of compost you get for the garden is second to none! It's definitely worth the cost and again it pays for itself in a short amount of time!!

Bucket is weak limk
Makes very fine, totally pulverized product with hardly any big pieces. But bucket fail after 6 months. It would not engage onto motor spindle so blade would not spin. The company did not have spare buckets so they sent me brand new machine under warrantyNew machine worked perfectly for tro.months when bucket failed again. Same problem. How unlucky can I be.Rather than go through process again, I ordered different composter.Whole doing my research, I found that there's several brands with identical control panel as this one so I avoided them. Similarly I avoided exact control panel of my previous composter which barely lasted a year.I assume that similar control panel with same physical profile are made by same factory under different brand namesVery disappointed in this product as it produced excellent product.

Worked like a charm!
I did a ton of Research on the best tabletop composting models and was leaning towards a Lomi or Airthereal initially. I saw the flash sale for the fulan and the great reviews, so I thought I’d take a chance and see how it is. It came neatly and carefully packaged with charcoal pellets included. The charcoal isn't specific, so I like the fact that I can order what charcoal is cheapest when I need to replace it in a few months rather than being forced to buy model specific pellets.I’ve had this at home for a few weeks now and this little guy works like a charm! I fill it to the brim, even pack it in a little, and it churns put 1/3 of the volume in dirt/compost. The dryness really depends on how much water goes in initially. So all green kitchen scraps will be dusty/powdery, any cooked food waste will be more packable like snowballs, but still on the dryer side. I've been putting it my vegetable garden and the tomatoes have doubled in height and fruiting flowers! It's super easy to use with an automatic weighing function that estimates how much time it will take. Since I usually fill it fully it can take 5-6 hours, but we run it at least 2x day since we cook at home most of the time. The self-cleaning function is also a godsend for removing crusty/stuck-on stuff. The rotor that churns the waste can emit an occasional groan but its mostly white noise like a dishwasher, and there isn't any smell that comes out due to the charcoal, so its not intrusive. It looks great and matches the other major appliances. It also has a larger capacity for waste than some of the other models and brands out there. Very happy with this purchase so far!

So far, so good!
I live in an apartment, but I have local composting available. Since they charge for drop off by the 5Gal bucket, this is great! It’s dry, and I can stash more scraps until I fill up a bucket - without it getting moldy.Like all composting, balance is key!!I get best results with the grinder from mixing stale bread (or other dried product like coffee grounds and filters) with fruits and veggies. No matter what, the dryer you start with, the better.Follow the instructions!Anything stringy (tea bag strings or grape stems) should be chopped up, or fluffed partway through the cycle.Be aware of backyard vs industrial composting differences. Backyard = no (or very low) protein/oily (meat, dairy, bones). Industrial = check your local drop off site.It handled pistachio shells like a champ. It smells a little bit but I don’t find it offensive, and I don’t really know when I’m supposed to change the charcoal. It’s a bit creaky, but not noisy unless you put something noisy in it - like shells or cherry pits. Even then, the noise is low.It puts out heat, so run it with your heating / AC needs in mind. It hasn’t added a noticeable spike to my electric bill.Bigger and heavier than I was expecting, but I was looking at performance, not specs.I occasionally have to run it for an extra hour to make sure everything is as chopped as I like, and the cooldown time is at least an hour.Happy pre-composting!
