It works great on Plantronics HW720 after using it for a while now. I’m purchasing another one for my other device so I can just plug it in and out as if in a call center.What I didn’t get used to right away is the blinking speaker button. If speaker is muted that’s the only time it’s turned off. Mute button works just as well but the volume never worked at all so I adjust it on the computer anyway. Maybe only some headsets support that but it really doesn’t matter.If the microphone is staticky it may have something to do with the softphone and not the headset or the adapter itself. I’ve come across this several times when I was using the 3cx phone system but it worked well on MicroSIP and Zoiper5. There’s no echo and it’s not “too quiet”. Also, if you want a better noise cancelling feature I highly recommend buying Krisp too so even kids from the background won’t be heard. Krisp works better than the RTX Voice.

Light weight and comfortable to wear while walking about. Durability of the cord was inadvertently put to the test as our dogs trampled over it repeatedly on our Saturday car ride. Wouldn't recommend testing it to that degree yourself, but know that it will likely pass the test as mine did.Update: Still going strong, one year later. Hooked it to a 3.5mm 1/8" 4 Pole Male to Female AUX Stereo Audio Earphone Extension Adapter Cable to save wear & tear on the plug. Cheaper to replace the adapter.

it worked well for my headset, which requires the connection to work. I WFH, my company headset died and I needed a fast replacement. i'd order again if needed.

Since there are two possible wiring protocols for a 4 pin 3.5 I bought this one because it says it has an adaptor plug to convert. It did not include the adaptor - rather disappointing. However the initial wiring worked with my computer so not a problem. Be sure you match the wiring since it won’t switch between them.

I work from home and use an AT&T, 2-line office phone with headset. The insertion, 2.5mm end of this cable does not make constant connection, causing intermittent sound loss and forces me to fiddle with it until connected. I attempted to contact the seller multiple times but their replies were always garbled English as if they could not understand the issue, e.g., "Make sure insert into jack totally. Thanks. " I have ordered the brand-name cable and am returning this one.
