Silent Keycaps: Good for the Office or Quiet Typing Experience
I bought these keycaps for a keeb (QK65v2) that I was hoping to build for use in a classroom setting. The switches themselves have a nice tactile feel and are mostly silent. Depending if you want to put in the extra effort into taking them apart and lubing these switches, it will make a slight difference in the overall experience making it more smooth to type on. If you are a first time keyboard builder, having these non-lubricated will not change your experience too drastically until you are more attuned to the sound profile and feel of various types of switches. Pros: -A good price for an ample amount of switches (especially if you are buying a bunch for a larger build) -Relatively quiet switches (the overall sound will depend on the build of your keyboard and the amount of sound dampening material you include in it as well.) -Stock feels relatively smooth if you aren't too keen on lubricating them yourself or not particular about it. Cons: -Might want to lubricate the switches if you are a keyboard enthusiast. -The disassembly of each switch is rather a challenging and tedious process.

Best silent tactiles by far
If like a little bump, soft bottom, and gentle thock, these are for you. Absolutely delicious keystrokes. Only cheap part is is the weak pins, but none have snapped. I would love if they had a version with slightly heavier springs to push back through every part of the keystoke. Highly recommended, better than key 2-3x their price.

Great switches and great value.
Definitely my favorite silent tactile switch yet. Very solid in construction and very little jiggle which helps a lot with fast typing and larger keys. My old switches had significant wiggle so it was much appreciated. They are quite silent, don't be expecting complete silence to the point where someone across the room can't hear as that's quite unreasonable as an expectation from a silent tactile switch, but they beat out many silent linear I have seen. Keep in mind keyboard and keycaps effect the sound and noise level and spacebars can still be loud because of their stabilizers. There were a few very minor bent pins, but nothing a slight poke couldn't fix, just look at the pins before trying to insert. Wish they had a 110 switch option since my keypad still uses the old switches, but the direct comparison being available makes me appreciate these switches all the more.

Great
If you put a decent layer of foam on the bottom of your keyboard with these switches they will sound absolutely silent. This was a great set of switches overall and now I donโt have to bother my family members with a clicky keyboard

Quiet and Comfortable Keyboard Switches: A Beginner's Delight
I loved these keyboard switches so much that I bought a second set for my other keyboard. They are incredibly quiet and provide a great feel to my fingersโnot too soft, not too hard, but just right. Of course, preferences for keyboard switches can be quite personal. What encouraged me to try these switches was a reviewer's recommendation, and I'm glad I did. While I'm aware that there are even quieter switches available and various methods to make keyboards silent, as a beginner in the keyboard enthusiast hobby, I am very pleased with these switches. They were easy to install, and I didn't encounter any duds or severely bent pins. I ended up purchasing two packs of them, and they have significantly enhanced my typing experience. Thanks for providing such great switches!

Recent batches worse
I've bought these switches 3 different times over the span of a year and a half. The first 2 times they were nearly perfect with very few issues. However the most recent purchase something was different. The housing's plastic appears slightly more transparent and I'm now encountering issue with the switch binding on off center key presses when they've never had this issue on my prior purchases. I'm not sure if manufacturing changed for these or the molds were altered or what, but unfortunately these switches are no longer my go to for a silent tactile as they once were. Which I am extremely sad and dissappointed about as they were one of my favorite silent tactiles.

My "Holy Grail" Switches: Affordable, Silent, and Heavy
This review is for the silent yellow jade switches. At the time of purchase, they were $22.80. I'm using these stock/unmodified. I tested these outside of my keyboard, in my keyboard with no keycaps, and in my keyboard with keycaps. Finding an affordable, heavy, silent tactile switch was a difficult task, and these definitely fit the "affordable" requirement. The first question I had before purchasing was if these were actually silent. I'd tried several other silent switches, and those were still loud enough to feel disruptive. The Silent Yellow Jades are actually quiet. Like another reviewer mentioned, most of the sound is from keys with stabilizers (i.e., the spacebar). I'm confident that these could be used in the same room as a light sleeper without waking them. The next most important factor was weight. I have tremors in my fingers, and I need heavy switches to mitigate the shaking. I was running into issues using Boba U4T switches, which are a bit lighter. Initially, I was concerned that the weight difference wouldn't be significant. The quick initial tests I did weren't sufficient for assessing the difference in weight. After frequent usage of the Silent Yellow Jades, I've found these to be the ideal weight. Not heavy enough to cause strain after prolonged use, and not too light to where I'm double-pressing keys. There are a couple of issues that bother me enough to rate this as 4-star instead of 5. These switches can feel a little "mushy", almost reminiscent of a membrane keyboard. The tactile bump is not as satisfying as the Boba U4T, and it leaves something to be desired. The other issue is bent pins. Out of the packaging, some of the switches will have bent pins. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to fix, even with unsteady hands: gently and slowly push them into place using something thin and flat, such as a credit card. Unfortunately, this gets tedious quickly and can be frustrating. It also is an issue with just about every switch I've tried. Overall, these are fantastic value and I strongly recommend them as a budget-friendly, silent, tactile switch. No modifications are needed. They truly are silent, feel good to use, and, for the most part, are high quality products.

So quiet...
Replaced my stock brown switches with the Silent Jade and couldn't be happier! These are the most quiet switches I have (n)ever heard. Planning to put them in my second keyboard too. Highly recommended!

Super quiet, great switches
The Outemu Silent Jade Yellows are my first silent switches. After swapping my Gateron Red switches with these, I can say that the volume difference is night and day! I'm just using the switches stock (I did not lube or film them), and they are super quiet and no spring ping on both the bottom out and the release. The bottom out feels noticeably soft compared to non-silent switches, which may not be for everyone.

Quiet and tactile
The switches are very quiet and surprisingly tactile. The tactile bump is almost as long as the entire key travel, providing very nice feedback when typing. Outstanding performance considering the low price.
