My daughter suffered a car break-in last year, so when I saw this Jokormo 1 PC Car LED Flashing Warning Lamp, I thought it would be a nice little gadget to deter potential thieves. Since her car gets parked at the college lot for days at a time, the solar function seemed to be a reasonable way to keep this charged. Unfortunately, her northern climate doesn't offer enough sun to keep it consistently charged up, apparently. When working, she reports that it does flash, but doesn't really look like a car alarm enough to fool anyone looking closely. Priced under $10, it's worth the attempt, but not a foolproof solution.

The Car LED Flashing Dummy Warning Blue Light (ASIN: B0CT8H26QC) performs as described. It provides a slowly flashing light when it has an adequate charge and the area is dark.In agreement with the product description, no charging cord or charging cube are included. Also, no instructions are included with the unit. I am not sure if the charging instructions in the product description are correct or not, as they are non-specific / too ambiguous. When plugged in to a non-supplied power cord and charging block, if the switch is in the off position the LED is not illuminated. If the switch is on the LED is illuminated. At no time during charging did the LED “flash slightly.” Maybe this indicates that the unit had a full charge. However, in most cases I will be relying on the included solar panel to charge the battery.The photo cell worked well. With the switch in the on position and the unit in good light the LED was not illuminated nor flashing. When in a darker environment the LED automatically flashed at a slow pace, very similar to the lights seen in cars I believe to have alarm systems in place and functioning.
