In the past, I always used Japanese brands like zojirushi, tiger. Compared to these, hydro flask food jar is bulky (bigger for its capacity and heavier). But, I like the wide mouth. Easier to put rice/pasta and easier to clean. It does not come with many smalls pieces to take apart to wash, either. In the morning, I pour boiling water to keep the container warm before packing food in it. My kids swear that it keeps even rice warm by the time they eat at school. Now all my kids use hydro flask food jars!
