When first trying to squeeze this around a controller (Project Scorpio Edition in my test), it almost felt like the mount would snap, but even after many detach-reattach actions, it's surprisingly solid. Tip: Center the little half-moon shape around the Xbox button first, then proceed to wrap it around the underside.The only "catch" here is the phone portion of the mount (which has a satisfying spring-stretch slide grip) covers one of the buttons on the "top" (right side) of the phone if you center the mount exactly. On the Essential PH-1, this is the power button; on the Pixel 3, this is the volume-down button -- your phone may vary. On my old Galaxy series, there was no button centered on either side, for example. This is trivially solved by either mounting the phone slightly off-center, or using hand-tools (like a dremel) to carve out a little notch for the button.The kick-stand is a nice bonus for loading screens or just setting it down for a break, and does not get in the way of normal use....and yes, this makes Fortnite on Android (post-7.3.0) immediately playable like a console game.

It's a fair product. Had to use one rubber band to secure it well to my remote controller. Holds my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus tight for protection.

Using a Pixel 2 and an Xbox One S Controller, this functions as I expected.The volume buttons are directly where the clamp attaches to the phone. I took a Dremel tool and made a very small channel (only maybe 2mm wide, 1mm deep) in the top clamp, which isn't terribly thick but has enough plastic that a channel could be made without my worrying that the clamp would break or be cut through. Once the channel was cut, I no longer had problems with the volume being triggered with the phone in the clamp. The clamp is quite strong, I've turned down the sensitivity of the squeeze-to-activate Google Assistant, and it still occasionally triggers when putting the phone in. This is not a big deal to me, I'd rather the grip be strong.The device only opens wide enough that from the face of the screen to the face of the controller is just over 90 degrees. It does not open 180 degrees/flat. It's a totally fine angle to play at, I was able to play for hours without any discomfort, but if you're playing in a dark room you will be directly facing the controller, and the LED lit Xbox guide button. I had never noticed how bright it is, but with the button so close to the screen it really became annoying; I might put some rubber or something on the gap to cover the button.The device is clearly specifically made for the Xbox One S controller; all of the cutouts matched perfectly with the controller, and there's a small divot in the controller which matches exactly with a small spike in the device, presumably to keep it from moving around. The whole thing fits snugly and feels solid. That said, while not hard to take off, the device does not seem designed to be taken on and off a lot.That's basically it, I'm totally satisfied with this device, it completely beats buying a whole other bluetooth controller for my phone.I tested out the One S controller with the Steam Link App and GTA III for Android, and it worked flawlessly with both. Oddly, plugging in an old Xbox 360 wired controller via USB adapter did not function nearly as well. I can confirm that the One S analog sticks "read" correctly, as do the analog triggers; by that I mean (for example) in GTA V, when you push the analog left stick all the way to the left, the steering wheel in a car goes all the way left; pushing less results in less wheel turn. Similarly, pulling the right trigger all the way in floors it, pulling slightly allows the car to go slow.

Awesome clip. The top claw is spring loaded and it can fit a decent sized phone. I have a pixel 2 xl which fits in there fine, you have to place it slightly off center to avoid pressing the volume keys which doesn't bother me too much. Also fits my Galaxy S7 edge and essential phone just fine. What's also great is that the back side has a clip to stand the controller up, it also has an opening so you can charge it while you're using it. Would recommend!

This is great for mounting my phone to my controller and running the steam link app on it to play controller-based games in my house when I don't want to sit at my desk. Fantastic. Well-made, the kickstand is a nice bonus, and works well with my phone. Tip: when applying it to the controller go from the top first, then snap the bottom on. It's very snug and doing it that way is much easier.

It doesn't fully fit on my Xbox One controller but it works. It stays on well enough to hold my phone while I play games and for the price I'm honestly not mad it doesn't wrap all the way around the controller.

It solves a problem extremely well. Its main limitation is the lack of viewing angle options. It’s best used seated or only partially reclined. Fully reclined is not an option. That said, it’s 5 stars from me, because it’s cheap and does what it advertises. If you need to play reclined, shop around more. Also: you will be blown away at how awesome it is to play mobile games with a real controller. Whether it’s this product or another, it’s a gamechanger (literally), go for it!

Fits perfectly. Nice and snug. Stand is nice feature to prop up phone to watch TV/movies or videos. All playable buttons are accessible and usable. Only covers sync button so sync your controller first over Bluetooth before placing clip.Only got 4 instead of 5 because design will leave slight scratches on your controller after repeatedly putting it on and taking it off. Only noticed this next to XBox home button.Highly recommend. Great value for the money. Same clip from other vendors can cost double or triple.Ready for XCloud when it comes to Canada.

It was working well but it snapped in half after about a month of use when I slide it into the controller. Too bad.
