Natural alternative for controlling mites in chicken coop
Mites in the chicken coop. Ugh.I was looking for a safer, more natural way to treat my chickens and coop area for mites, which I recently discovered on one of my hens. If you've never had the pleasure, lucky you! Grandpa Gus's Natural Advanced Pest Killer turned out to be just what I was looking for. This spray is fairly pleasant smelling, at least it is natural oils and essential oils, so no chemically smells. Still, be careful not to breath it in, I did wear a face covering while applying. It was very easy to mix and apply; instead of a trigger style bottle as shown, I mixed it in a 1-liter pump sprayer (for gardening) and that was much easier on my hands. I scrubbed down the coop, then sprayed the diluted concentrate throughout the entire coop while the hens were out in another area. I let them back in after it was fully dry.I reached out to Grandpa Gus's website about re-application, since a lot of products recommend re-applying in 2 weeks due to the life cycles of the mites. Although the products states it "Tackles insects at every stage of their lifecycle, from egg and larvae to nymphs and adult" they responded to my inquiry that they still recommend re-applying after 2 weeks. Shucks. But there is no egg withdrawal period, they are safe to consume even during treatment periods. This formula is very similar to another well known brand, but with this concentrate you end up with twice the amount for about the same price. So that makes it a win in my book. See ya later, mites!

More Grandpa Gus Goodness to Refill my Spray Bottle
The Grandpa Gus's Natural Advanced Pest Killer Concentrate is meant to be diluted so you end up with about 32oz of product. This spray is what I use exclusively in the part of my back yard where my grandson and dogs hang out.I also like to use as needed indoors when necessary for gnats, fruit flies and the like.

Seemed to work fairly immediately with a squirrel nest
***reader warning: death of a squirrel***I was willing to try this despite it not being a stronger clove essential oil. I had read that squirrels hate certain essential oils like clove, eucalyptus, cinnamon, peppermint, etc.We have spent almost two years trying to clear out the squirrel nests on the property. They have killed a wiring loom on a car, trashed a bunch of stores items in a loft with chewing, defecating, and taking for nesting material. They killed a live Christmas tree we were hoping to plant by digging at the roots to bury nuts. They'd even ruined some wooden paneling up near the roofline of a house. There's probably more they were doing to the vegetable garden. That's not to mention them being noisy clog dancers on the window AC units and waking us up on the rare mornings we got to sleep in.We had finally gotten it down to two nests. One is up a tree and not high priority. But we hadn't gotten to the point where we could safely store stuff in the loft of an outbuilding.I have tried to scare these suckers away. I've even tried to poke the corner area where their nest is at behind some boxes. But they would just hunker down.Tonight I decided to tape these bottles to a long pole and spread the liquid around, hoping to hit their nest. It must have worked because while I thought there was only one squirrel left using this building, there were two that popped out. One was swiftly dispatched and the other escaped. My hope is that the clove oil in this makes the nest inhospitable to the squirrel.Unfortunately, there's not really a good way to move squirrels. They're pretty resistant to it. I would be more than happy to live with them if they kept the damage to plants, but the property damage means they had to go permanently. My hope is that the $34 (Viners pay taxes on the value) covers two squirrels, and that would be well worth it to me, considering the $750 wire loom, not to mention other property damage. But I'll have to update to see if the other squirrel continues to use the workshop as a home base.If it chases out some spiders and other bugs, well, all the better even if they're not a big priority.Reviewing: Grandpa Gus's Natural Advanced Pest Killer Concentrate, Plant-Based Actives Quick Kill 46 Insect Species, Indoor & Outdoor Use, Light Scent, 3.7 fl oz (Pack of 2) $34.99

No Difference
I couldn't see a difference honestly using this. I still saw little critters after using this so maybe it was user error possibly but I doubt it.

Works decent on some bugs
Ordered this because I have a ton of plants and and in South florida you have a ton of bugs.... plus I have kids so I love natural cleaners and whatnot. This has helped a little, but I can't say that I feel like it has just dominated.

Mild odor and works well. Safe around pets.
This product comes with two bottles of concentrated chemicals. Each bottle will make 32oz. of spray. This makes very easy to spray in those hard to reach areas. The chemical has just a mild smell of clove and seems to fade away fairly rapidly. So far I have used this around the doorways and haven’t had any bugs in the house. We are early in the season so I will update this review as we get more insects showing up.

Seems to work well and doesn’t smell bad
I ordered this to use in our attached screen room. I didn’t want anything that smelled bad as we spend a lot of time out there and I wanted something safe for my animals. We also have an outdoor kitchen in there too so I didn’t want chemicals around where we cook food. This solution comes concentrated in small bottles and you mix it with water to make 32 oz out of one of the small bottles. I put it in a 32 oz spray bottle I had and it works well in that. I sprayed all of the screens, the wood around all of the screens inside and outside and then around the floor of the whole room and around the outside at the bottom of the room. I was seeing quite a bit of spider webs before spraying. I cleaned them all up just before spraying and it has been two weeks and I have not had any new spider webs. I have seen two spiders though both on the cement floor of the room not near the edges of the room. I do have two throw rugs in the room I think I might try spraying those too. The smell is not bad especially since it is outside. My cat does not like the smell at all.
