ElectroCookie Raspberry Pi 5 Case, Aluminum Mini Tower Case with Cooling Fan and Color Changing Ambient Light (Silver)

I bought one of these and was impressed that I bought another for my daughter. It is well designed and the fan light changes colors. There is also a power button that extends from the RPi5 power switch. Be careful as the metal is sharp.

Great case, some minor assembly as with all cases. Nice, premium aluminum. Very sturdy and attractive.

Very easy to assemble and definitely gives the Pi a secure, attractive housing with room for accessories. I wish I would have ordered the model that comes with the HAT for an bootable external SSD because I ended up adding it on after. The LEDs on the fan are not super bright or obnoxious which was a plus for me. The only design flaw for me was that adding a camera is difficult. Not only do you have to open the whole case again and pull the board out, you have to remove the HAT to get to the camera slot, the ribbon had to bend and flip all over the place to have any hope of reaching an access slot in the side or front of the case. Most stock connectors probably would not be long enough and there is no obvious mounting point for the camera on the exterior, which meant the camera module was just flopping around and getting tipped over. Seems like there is a lot of unused vertical space inside the case and increasing the space to add connectors to the Pi would have been helpful. In the end, I swapped for a usb camera module that was plug and play and much easier to connect and disconnect if I change my mind or use it on another project. All in all, a great solution that was easy to assemble and keeps your install neat and tidy as well as cool.

Really amazed with how straight forward this case build was. The fan stays cool but over time I think you might hear the fan but not much. It’s not loud. I managed to assemble this pretty fast without issues. And when I wanted to add the NVMe electro cookie hat later on, I could with ease. Overall pretty happy with the case. Also the power Button! That’s what makes it all worth it. It’s solid.

Good product I recommend for purchase

Great case. Ended up running it with a geekpi ssd and jerry rigged the fan to pull air out and attached to the side. Makes a nice portable package.
