Useful & Fun ...
Clever piece of kit that can be very useful or just for fun... I bought it to examine the condition of a diamond tip stylus I had removed from my record hifi. It was a bit fiddly to set up with the instructions for use with a tablet & it took some time to get the position & magnification correct using the stand provided, but once I got used to it the images were amazing & clear. I like the fact you can also use it by holding it although it's then hard to stop the image shaking from the tiniest bit of movement. It's very portable when used with a mobile phone, although again takes a bit of setting up with WiFi etc. I now have a Google Chromebook & that is great as I can simply plug the camera USB direct into the laptop & don't have to download drivers or apps (it uses the built in Chrome camera app). It can also be used to scan or photo something directly onto the Chromebook (obviously only if it needs magnifying significantly). Well worth the money even if it only gets used occasionally & mostly for fun or for reading very small print.

Great for the price
Quite straightforward to set up. I use it to take close ups of hallmarks on jewellery and finer details that a DSLR just can't reach. The picture is of a silver hallmark on a small ring.

Looking at pondlife with an inexpensive USB microscope
The media could not be loaded. I don't understand hw to rate "Sheerness"!!! I bought this to look at microscopic pond life. I use a Mac computer, the software supplied does not allow a Mac or PC to connect to the wifi ‘Magic’ box, so if you don’t have a smartphone/tablet the wifi is a waste of money, go for the non-wifi version. Downloading and installing the software on the Mac was easy. PC looks more complicated - 4 1/2 pages of instructions compared to one paragraph, but the software has more functionality. On the Mac you can just use Photobooth, but the downloaded Digital Viewer is much better, it allows time-lapse photos with a big range of settings. I am using the ‘scope to look at pond life inside a glass jar, so want to set the scope to look at a particular spot and stay in place. The angle stand, although it has a clamp, allows the ‘scope to move if you tug on the cable at all when adjusting the LED intensity. Be careful with the cable routing and you’ll be OK. Adjusting the zoom without moving the ‘scope I found impossible, so set that before positioning on the subject. The Zoom button on the side of the scope does nothing on a Mac, the Snap button needs a double click which shakes the view - much better to use the software. There’s a clear plastic calibration ruler supplied, not very easy to use on subjects in my glass jar, but on a microscope slide can be used successfully for measurement. A nice touch is the clip-in lens cap to stop dirt getting in when not in use. Maximum picture size is 640x480pixels which might be limiting for serious use but fine for my purposes. I’m using the low end magnification but experimenting I found the focus at the high end was inside the clear plastic lens protector. Video and picture are of Hydra on the side of the jar

Good product but download the right app
The microscope came in a small black cloth case which holds everything neatly inside. When you open the case there is an elasticated band on one side and a zipped mesh screen on the other. I assembled the microscope which is straightforward. One thing to remember is to remove but retain a protective cap on the end of the microscope. I charged the supplied WiFi/ battery prior to use and downloaded the recommended software F100 from the Apple App Store. DON’T do this I had to contact the supplier of the microscope because the software wasn’t working properly who promptly got back to me and said F100 had bugs and they recommended downloading HD wifi. I did this and it seems to be working correctly. I have only had the microscope one day 11/7/2018 but for the price it seems to be so far quite good. I knocked off a star because of the slight software problem but the support was very good getting back to me within a few hours of my email.

Easily setup to work on iPad
I found this easy to connect and use with my five year old iPad by just following the enclosed instructions. This was a big relief having read some of the other reports of difficulties in doing this. Very happy with the performance, which is just what I wanted to for identifying and recording river invertebrates.

Quality , Service and Value
Great Value, great quality and great service.I tried to use a magnifying glass to get a splinter out of my son's finger with no success. I tried using my old kids microscope to help, again no success. So I searched for something on the internet. I needed at least 250x mag plus the ability to see via a screen of some sort (old persons eyesight issue). If you are reading this review then you will know all this.I sent off for the microscope and it arrived the day following. just in time to deal with the splinter! I was worried that the price would be too cheap (<£40) however I need not have worried. It is an easy to use piece of kit, and I could get great images on Laptop or iPhone. I have since rediscovered my 12 year old me and I'm currently hunting around the house for subjects. First few images below (Coin, mole, woodlouse)

Great little piece of kit
I bought this to replace an old Veho USB microscope which had faulty LED's. This is an improvement as the magnification is greater, the measurement feature is very useful and the adjustable LED is a bonus. Worked straight out of the box on my Win 10 devices. I didn't have a CD drive to hand but the software is readily available on the web site and installed without issue. Not had chance to try the wifi box yet but this will be used with a laptop so the USB cable connection is fine. This was half the price of the Veho, which was bought 12 years ago but that's the benefit of technology progress I guess.

Easy to take pics on the iPhone using the magic box
This is a great device for exploring nature close up. Very handy to be able to take pics on the iPhone. Picture quality is good but tricky to get a clear picture when not using the stand. Not so easy to use in the field, but fine on a table top.
