Claey's Old Fashioned Hard Candy Lemon, 6 Ounce

No much lemon flavor at all. You expect lemon candy to be lemony and a little tart. Not so with these. Very disappointed.

Have an odd chemical taste.

These are deliciously flavourful, and while I am probably too young to go saying that they’re nostalgic, they are.

I bought three different brands of lemon drops: Brach's, Claeys, and some sort of low-cost generic brand from the grocery store. They're all identical in taste as well as in their listed ingredients. Claeys drops are even indistinguishable in appearance from the other brands. On the back of the bag is this note: "Partially Produced with Genetic Engineering." I have no idea what that means. The company affixed a bar code sticker over something about the Food & Drug Administration. Taste is fine, but again the drops taste no different than other brands on the market and most likely were produced at the same candy factory.

These are delicious! Both sweet and sour... but not overly so either way. Just a light and lemony tart flavor. I don't think I've had these since I was a kid and they are better than I remember. I'm glad I tried them again because I usually hate anything too sour. But I can handle these. It's a tasty switch from the mints I usually have after some coffee or after lunch. Keep them in my office at work but I'm sure they will disappear quick once my colleagues get to them!I will definitely buy again! No issues at all. Though I wish this old time candy in all flavors were easy to find in stores like they used to be. I have to come online to buy them. I know it's easy to shop online, but I'm always wary of buying anything edible online as I worry about the quality or age suffering... old stuff, melted stuff, etc. has been an occasional issue. But nothing wrong in this case. So thank you!

Bought this for my mom who was undergoing chemotherapy. A nurse told us that lemon drops help take away the taste of metallic and it worked. She would bring in the bag and pass them out to all the chemo patients

I haven't had these since I was younger.....using them for my nausea while having my Beauty Treatments....for my Breast Cancer during Chemo. They helped immensely.

I had been craving lemon drops for a few months, so we picked some up at a candy store in the mall a coupe weeks ago. The dusting/coating on the outside of was gross tasting--not what I remembered from when I last had lemon drops, probably fifteen years ago or more.I was determined to find a better lemon drop. I looked on Amazon and found this brand. We added them to an order and they did not disappoint--they are what I'd remembered. They are quite tasty!

I'm a lemon-drop weirdo, these are better than Brach's and better than the gas station cheap ones (though only by a hair). Don't get caught in a relationship with a bag of Brach's Lemon Drops, you'll be left feeling like a jilted lover.

Claey's is the best.. Been eating since I was a kid.. My Uncle always had these mixed with Horehound in his Dr's office for his patients.. loved them then and now.

They are made the old fashioned way with sugar sprinkled on them. They are relatively large and so delicious I’ve ordered them 3 times
