For $130 USD in 2023, you cannot beat these, BUT --
I don't want to ding the star rating for these because they are AWESOME for their price point, but these are a few NEED TO KNOWS: 1. They have small standard ear cups. I have small-average ears, and a big head for hats/headphones. I think these are very comfortable, but that's because I don't have big ears! You would definitely want to upgrade the ear padding to a larger size if you have large ears. 2. The "active noise cancelling" is FAR from perfect. But it's good for the price point! If the ear pads fit (again, sizing important from part 1), then I'd say it cancels enough sound to be totally worth it! I overnight ordered these for surprise roof construction where I work. That being said, if this is the most important feature for you, and you want truly great ANC, then spend a little more for a better pair. Again, I think for this price I am plenty happy. 3. Head size/head band comfort - I have a big head, need large/custom hats, and I find these to be perfectly comfortable, and don't put too much pressure on my head. The padding is doing its job! So far after two full days of wear, I haven't had any pain and the weight is great for long days of work. I also like that the ear cups tilt in both directions - human heads are not flat! 4. Sound quality - I am very sound sensitive, enough to have dipped my toes in audiophile-learning to understand what sounds I do and don't like, and I think the other reviews that claim they are pretty "flat" is correct! I often have to turn down "high" sounds on headphones, and these were fairly perfect out of box for me. If you're a big bass fan, you'll need to fuss with the settings, but I haven't looked into it specifically. I really like these! I think it's smart to get a hard protective case for them, but it's awesome that they fold up - they fit in my work purse when folded!

Fantastic headphones
I had been stalking a pair of Sony ANC headphones and "settled" on these; I'm glad I did though! These are comfy, block out noise well passively without making me oblivious to my surroundings, and have really great ANC (I fly a lot). Great for travel or at home. Sound quality is great! I've got a few pairs of Sennheiser and they never disappoint. I like the controls on these a lot too; Solid and generously spaced buttons make knowing which does what simple after some quick practice. Volume up and down feels a bit backwards, but that's a minor gripe. The volume button is front to back, and front is vol down with back being vol up. What I REALLY like about these is how easy it is to pair to different devices. Hold the power button down for an extended period puts them into pairing mode, making it easy to switch from iPhone to iPad to Switch, never having to go to the previous device to UNpair first. This is a little quality of life function that I love. Bonus is that you can use the provided cable (which in Sennheiser fashion has a proprietary locking mechanism, which is a bit annoying) and use them like a normal wired pair, BUT ANC will not function this way. Great headphones overall.

Great for listening, but that's the only amazing thing about them
//Two year review at the bottom\\ This is my one day review of the 450s, I will update it one week, month, and possibly further. One week review is in the middle, and the long term review is at the very bottom. \/ \/ Pros *The biggest thing that these headphones have going for them is their sound. I am by no means an expert on audio equipment, but I know good sound when I hear it. These headphones are amazing in the sound department, now they're not the he1s, but if you buy them on sale, they're one of if not the best sounding headphones for the price that are Bluetooth. Heck, it even makes ads sound good. *I believe there's an actual mini tweeter along with the main driver that helps with a bit of separation. *The headset has active noise cancelation (anc). The anc could be a bit better, but it does an okay job. *They come in white. XD *They have the ability to be a hard wired headset, so if you wanted to, you could plug them directly in. They also automatically turn off when you plug the 3.5mm jack in. The 3.5 plug also locks in so you don't accidentally pull it out of the headphones. *They use USB c to charge, this means one less cable to have just laying around. *The entire headset is made out of plastic, but it's a very durable and good feeling plastic. *I've seen some reviews about how the earpads heat up a lot for them, but these have stayed relatively cool, and haven't held a lot of heat. Cons (Disclaimer: these may not apply to everyone that buys these.) *The earpads are very cramped and not meant for people with medium to large ears. You can buy aftermarket earpads from brainwavez and some other brands that can fix this issue. I might order some in the coming weeks. *The connection via aux is secondary and Sennheiser designed these headphones to be Bluetooth primarily. I was excited to see that they had an aux cord included, but it just seems like they added it as an afterthought. I haven't gotten the mic to work through the aux cord yet. *The padding sucks everywhere, the headband that is on the headset only has minimal padding, and as mentioned before the earpads are also not the greatest for larger eared people. So these are borderline not wearable for the larger eared friends out there. *The app. Sennheiser, what were you thinking? People want customization in their sound and all you can do is change the bass, mids, and treble. I'd love it if there was a bit more customization in the eq. That said, these sound decent enough without an eq, so I'm just nitpicking here, so don't let the app hold you back from getting these. //Overall 1 Day Review\\ They sound amazing, so get them if they are on sale, I wouldn't buy them if they go back up over $150. They have a lot of things that can be improved and I know they have the updated version (458s). If you're a smaller eared person, and/or are willing to deal with the little irritations here and there, these are an amazing set of headphones. //Overall one week review\\ After some more research, these headphones do not support using the mic through the 3.5 mm. If you want to use these as conference call headphones, you will need to pair them via Bluetooth to your computer. Another thing I have found out is that the audio quality drops down significantly when using the microphone IF you have sidetone monitoring on. Another thing is that in my original review, I said the noise canceling wasn't that great, but I didn't really understand what the headphones, and the noise canceling were exactly doing. These headphones are great in the noise canceling department. SPECIFICALLY for listening to music. They won't drown out every single noise, but they get rid of quieter and more constant noises that would distract you from the music. Battery life on this is amazing. Even with the active noise canceling on, I hardly needed to charge them through the week. And because because they are USBC, they charge extremely quick. My biggest mark against these in my original review was the comfort. And I'm sad to say these still are not the most comfy headphones. They make my ears feel cramped and I can't spend a huge amount of time with these headphones on. They are bearable, but not the most comfy. Keep this in mind if you have medium to large ears. //Overall Long-term Review\\ These headphones are great, if you're worried about them being too small, you'll get used to it. Not a great thing to say about a pair of headphones that certainly aren't cheap persay. They're okay on comfort, but you'll find yourself adjusting the earcups regularly to prevent fatigue on your ears. Sometimes I even have to take them off completely for a bit while my ears readjust. I'm willing to put up with the discomfort because of the sheer quality I get from these headphones. They're amazing for obviously being designed to be linked to mobile devices (phone, tablet, laptop, etc) they sound great over Bluetooth. So if you find yourself spending money on new $20 headphones every two months, just get these. You'll be blown away by the quality and never want to go back. They're very well built and should never let you down. //Two years later\\ There’s nothing like the sound of a pair of Sennheisers. Yeah there may be clearer headphones with better noise canceling, but there’s just something so charming about the sound profile of these. The separation of all the instruments and vocals is what makes this brand exactly what it is. I recently picked these back up after about a year hiatus from listening with them and the instant I put them on it was like falling in love all over again. I had transitioned jobs where I can now use these more again and boy am I loving it. I will definitely be coming back to Sennheiser. All in all, I think these are STILL a great buy even two years later. Although they may not be up to the standard with noise cancellation and other features, you won’t find a better pair elsewhere. Final thought: These have the signature charming sound that Sennheiser is known for, for a much lower price. So what are you doing? Buy them!

Good for audio, not good for phone calls
These are great headphones. They're really good for music, podcasts, videos, etc. The noise cancelation is very good (though a little bit buzzy occasionally). They fit comfortably and I can wear them for a while. I would recommend these, especially at the price point. However, if you plan on taking phone calls with these, I would go elsewhere (or make peace with the fact that this won't happen). During phone calls, the headphones play back outside noise, which can be distracting. It might be due to the noise cancellation feature, but it happens with the noise on or off). I , personally can't do phone calls with these, but maybe you'll be different. In general, I also find the controls to be fine, but quite complex. Remembering where all the buttons are is a bit of a challenge, but it's only been a week, so maybe I'll get the hang of it. Overall, I really like these, and while there are flaws, the quality is there at a great price point.

good headphones but uncomfortable
Pros: -The sound quality is really excellent. these are some of the best sounding headphones I've ever had. I've heard the fancy Sony WH-1000XM4's and I like the sound on these much better. -The noise cancelation is also very good. Maybe not as good as the Sony or Bose but still quite good. -The build quality is also very good. It's mostly plastic, but it feels pretty solid and I'm not worried it's gonna break. The ear cops also have a nice soft faux leather on them. -I saw some reviews that said that the layout of the control buttons was confusing, but I did not find that to be the case. Once I acclimated to it, it was totally fine. -It paired to my phone and laptop very easily. -The battery also last a long time. I use these everyday for my commute and I can go over a week between charges. -They fold up very nicely for storage. Cons: -The ear cups are small and will not fit completely over your ears unless you have the smallest ears in the world. I've tried on other over the ear headphones that had alot more space for your ears. These will sit on your ears and that can be quite uncomfortable. -The headband has very little padding and it can hurt the top of your head . -The side tone(which pipes in ambient noise so you can hear your surroundings) is annoying. When you are listening on your phone, you can turn it off though the app. But I have not figured out how to turn it off when I pair with my laptop, so these headphones are super annoying to use for zoom meetings on my laptop for work. -When you are connected to two devices via Bluetooth and then turn one of them off or go out of range, you get an annoying "disconnected" message that repeats over and over until you turn them off and restart. -If you want to connect them to a device via a wire you need a specific cord, you can't just use any 3.5mm cord. -Although you can move the ear cups around a little bit, they cannot fol flat. This means that if you take the headphones off your head and are wearing them around your neck, the ear cups stick up and hit you in the chin, which is annoying. Overall: These are my first over-ear headphones. I usually prefer on-ears, but it seems that many companies seem to be phasing out the on-ears in favor of over the ears so the on-ears are harder to find. Also the sound quality in over-ears is supposed to be better. But I have to say that after trying these for about 6 months I am giving up on them and am going to go back to on ears. I love the sound, but they are just too uncomfortable for me and hurt my ears and head after about an hour. Also, I wear glasses and the over-ears press against the ear pieces, which is very uncomfortabke. I really wanted to love these because they sound so good, but the discomfort is just not worth it.

Great sound
Ok so I've had them all Beats, Technics, Skullcandy, & then some. And I really like these Sennheisers. I like em loud & have sent back the last 3 headphones of other brands I've tried because they were so low in volume. Not the case with these. They sound great. Are comfortable & lightweight. I'm very petite & they're almost too big for my head. It's nice to have the option to turn noise cancellation off or on. I ride an ebike & find it necessary to keep it turned off. And it's perfect. I listen to alot of bassy music & these sound great plus you can adjust the equalizer in the app they go along with. I'm really picky when it comes to headphones & I am very happy with my Sennheisers. Oh I guess my one small caveat is that there are too many operation buttons that are located on right earphone. I still can't keep em straight as to what does what.

They're good when they work :(
Sound quality on these headphones are very very good. Fairly flat response with nice bass and nicely rolled off treble. Everything else has been a nightmare. IT HAS BEEN 4 months I try to connect these to my phone? Don't work. I try to turn on ANC? The ambient sound turns on after 30 seconds. I don't charge these headphones for 2 days and they die. The power button is hardly a power button as half of the time they don't even power on. I have to charge these intermittently to turn then on only for the ANC to stop working. I hate fiddling with headphones I just want them to work is it that hard to ask? I legit just charged these headphones to full two nights ago and you're telling me they can't hold a charge for one day? Unacceptable sennheiser truly unacceptable. And now I'm trying to charge them and the red light has stopped turning on. What a waste of 130 dollars. I had high hopes because I had the original 4.50BTs and those were perfect and lasted me 3-4 years. But these headphones? Not even 4 months. I cannot believe it.

Amazing Headphones
I bought two pairs of these for both myself and my mom and we are both really happy with them. For me they were exactly what I was looking for, the noise cancelling is decent specially for the price point (Of course it cannot compare to more expensive options like Sony's premium headphones, but they costed my a third). The sound quality is very good, and I can take them anywhere on my entire apartment without moving the audio source and still get coverage. My only complaint was that for some reason when the battery dipped below 50% I would get constant annoying reminders on how much playtime I had left, luckily with was fixed with a recent firmware update. For my mom, she has never been happier with a product, this was the first time she had ever owned headphones in her life and she literally never takes them off anymore. We are both very happy with the purchase.

Bit expensive but good quality
As first experience with Active noise cancellation and wireless headphones the sound & build quality is surreal. With this price point the ANC could’ve been even better but it satisfying anyway. White color is also really cool and earpads’ material is also satisfying, comfortable. Everything seems durable so far.
