Original was great, this is still much greater.
I previously owned the older S1 mini model before getting this and, I gotta say, it really has improved in many ways. The high CRI beam is bright and rich, I don't think I'll miss any lost lumens the cooler toned light has. It seems to weight a good bit less than the previous steel model, but I've dropped it enough times that I'm sure it's more than rugged enough. The new clip is awesome, especially if you prefer your light in pocket, pointing down. And the back magnet and rechargeable batteries speak for themselves. Speaking of which, I charged them both when I got this thing a few months ago, and the first battery is still chugging along just fine, haven't swapped them yet. This little light is a beast.
