Wow, I love this tool. I never knew such a measurement tool existed. I don't know how many hours of frustration I've suffered over the years trying to find the right size bolt or nut for various DIY projects. Now instead of making wild guesses from my drawer full of a gazillion different size bolts and nuts, I can actually find the exact size needed.The tool itself is very well made. You can tell someone spent time designing it and manufacturing it. The edges are smooth and rounded and the finish looks like it will last a long time. The website says it's "anodized", whatever that means. All I know is it's very smooth and feels like it can take a lot of wear and tear without getting scratched or marked up. Also, the website mentions it's anti-rust and corrosion-resistant. It's pretty heavy and solid, I think another reviewer mentioned it weighs a little over a pound.It has 4 little rubber feet on the bottom which provide it with enough free space to screw bolts down for measuring. Also has 2 small corner holes at the top in case you want to hang it on the wall.I appreciate that the measurement lines and numbers are laser-printed, so they won't rub off over time.If there was one detail I didn't like it's the color of the measurements, which is white. I think black printing would be easier to read. But other than that, this is a great tool.

My boyfriend periodically has to estimate the size of a screw, washer, nut, or bolt he needs to replace. I ordered this DUOYI Store Thread Gauge SAE and Metric Thread Checker to make his reparations easier. When I pulled this aluminum alloy panel out of its box, I knew he would get a kick out of its outstanding quality. It weighs a respectable 1 lb., 10.4 oz. The nonslip silicone feet keep it steady on a flat surface, or you can hang it to quickly and easily take a metric or SAE measurement, like from ones that hang in most Big Box stores. IMHO, the white laser-etched increments could probably be more easily seen on a darker color panel, instead of orange. There is another similar thread checker available on Amazon that also has 28 sizes listed for $49.99. This DUOYI brand is currently $35.99 with a 10% coupon and a much better price.Update: My boyfriend was finally able to hang this on the OSB wall behind his tool cabinet. Unfortunately, the center hole was too narrow, and he had to cut the screw's head off to be able to hang it.

I have always been impressed with these thread size measurement devices on the bolt/screw isle in Lowes and Home Depot. I didn't even know they were available for personal purchase until I saw this one.It will be very helpful to know exactly what size I need to buy and whether SAE or metric, before I leave home to replace a damaged bolt, or to help me when sorting out my array of bolts and nuts in my storage bins.The thick aluminum base is heavy enough to stand the test of time. It can be hung on the wall either vertical or horizontal, and it even has rubber feet at the corners for placement on a table or workbench. I have mine mounted vertically on the wall beside my bolt storage bins.This thread gauge is a practical and affordable tool that should last for years to come.

I mounted this up on my pegboard. I was able to hang it from a bolt at the top, but it didn’t line up with the pegboard for a bolt at the bottom. I had to use twist wire to Jimmy it in place.It’s light, yet solid, and looks really slick. All text is easily read, laser engraved for longevity. I has a wide array of sizes, and I like the included metric and standard rulers marked on either side.There are cheaper versions of this where the pieces are strung on a wire like a necklace. That version would be great for a handyman on the go, but this version is ideal for the workshop and well worth the extra money.

This tool makes it easy to find the correct size nuts & bolts. No more taking a pocket full of parts to the DIY store to find a fit and no more second guessing. Hangs conveniently on a peg board. Good addition to the tool collection.

This is a very heavy duty, well made sizing tool. Size does matter ;)The tool is used to size both machine screws and nuts in both the SAE (US) system and the metric systems.It is simple to use. Put the screw in the hole that most closely fits the diameter and twist without much force. For nuts use the screw stubs to find the right size by trial and error. It goes pretty quickly and this tool will not wear out in our lifetimes.
