These work! I have an older Viking gas range. The oven wasn't coming up to temperature and I traced the problem to the igniters. Even thought the old igniters appeared to work fine, evidently, when they get old, they have less resistance, which prevents the gas valve from opening, or it would open, the flame would ignite, then the gas valve would shut again. These are a drop-in replacement! Perfect fit! And, most importantly, the oven now works properly.

Worked great for my Viking stove and saved me a bundle. Easy to replace on my own.

Old igniters on my 28 year old Viking stove were only pulling 2.5A, i thought they were good because they were glowing bright…I read somewhere that they need to be pulling at least 3.0A for the gas valve to work. These new ones were pulling 3.4 -3.5A , so far working perfect. I think maybe I have been cooking with only 1 of 2 burners for a few years. Go figure. I read somewhere replace them every 3 yrs. Dunno if that’s true, but if you suspect a Faulty gas valve, replace these first. Old on left, new on right.

Installation was easy and these both appeared to work fine at first but both of them shorted on the second use. My oven is an older Viking and only requires one. I installed the first one and was planning to keep the second as a spare. I was very careful with the heating element, wore nitrile gloves when working with it, and made sure not to touch the heating element. Initially it fired right up and fixed my problem. However, the second time I turned on the oven I started hearing a sizzling sound while it was preheating. Almost like liquid was dripping onto a hot surface (but the oven was empty). Then it stopped working. I took out the ignitor and found that it had short circuited and started to grow some sort of bubble on it. I put the other one in and the SAME thing happened the second time I used it. Amazon sent out some replacements without hassle, which is nice, but I will likely have to return those too and request my money back. So far these things are absolute garbage - AVOID!

These igniters got my Viking oven back up and running without busting my budget.

Installed in the oven of my Viking VGIC365-4GL range today. Install was easy thanks to YouTube and a Phillips screwdriver. Comes with wire nuts but not needed, I was able to use the spade connectors on the range and the new ignitors. I tested the new igniters with multi meter clamp set to amps and both igniters tested good. Propane delivered today and everything works as it should, happy with my purchase. I can’t speak to longevity but hoping these will work for at least a few years.

In the 25 years I've owned this oven, I've replaced the igniters at least four times, all aftermarket parts. These have a longer ceramic base than most of the other aftermarket ones. They light right up. We'll see how they are in a couple months. The delivery was faster than expected.
