OM SYSTEM Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pick-up Microphone

Sometimes when you deal with shady people, you will want to record conversations and meetings. I connect this to my external recorder or even a cell phone and it reduces external and white noise. If you are recording a phone call or a virtual meeting and the apps and features are disabled, you can get a very high end quality recording by using this microphone and over the ear headphones (any headphones that will cover the microphone). However, this is a microphone and not an earphone. You cannot use it to listen to the recording. You can only hear the sound pass through it during the conversation but you cannot hear it connected through the audio cable.

It works very well as a recording phone earpiece.

Doesn't work out of the box. I tried it on two different devices and, while they recognize that a microphone has been plugged in, no sound is recorded when I tried to use it. Sending it back.

Works great! Have used it many times, using a small digital recorder. I ALWAYS record calls that are important, as I can review the info later. Not trying to catch someone lying on the phone, but that would probably work also. I just like to review important calls to listen to later if needed. I use it with my Sony digital voice recorder, also available on Amazon. I've gone through a couple of these microphones, as the only weak spot seems to be around the earpiece part. But, they have lasted YEARS before needing replaced!

When you are tired of the frustration of modern electronics, it is nice to having something a bit old school, that just works, period.This microphone is as simple as it gets; paired with a good mini recorder, you can ensure you record every phone conversation you need, without having to worry about apps, or compatibility, or settings, etc etc.This is the simplest, most reliable way to record a phone call.

This telephone pickup microphone performs as expected and works well. It’s almost entirely “plug and play,” and the sound quality for the earpiece is clear.

Very easy to use and picks up phone conversation for recording for needed scenarios.
