Q: How does this wheelchair close up? How does it close?

Yes, it closes up. See the enlarged photo of it folded by scrolling down the product page to Product Description. It also shows the folded dimensions compared to the operational position of the chair. Essentially I pulled the seat up to collapse the chair widthwise. The the legs with the foot rests fold up and the foot resk tuck in toward the center of the chair . The top part of the chair back also folds down as well which reduces the overall height. It was fairly easy to do. Best of luck.
