Great Quality!
My wife and I recently bought a new home, and I needed a compound miter saw for several miscellaneous jobs around the house. I really didn't need anything fancy, just something to make miter cuts, but I wanted something that would last. Consumer reports rated the Hitachi C10FCH2 really well, so I checked it out at our local Lowes. I found it on Amazon cheaper so that is ultimately where I bought it from. I have had other Hitachi power tools and they have always served me well, so I felt confident this saw would to. I have had the miter saw for a few months now, and I was right. This saw is a work horse. It cuts precise, clean cuts. The knob to adjust the cutting angle "clicks" in at certain angles to you can feel confident that your cut will be dead on. The blade it comes with works fine for ruff cuts, but you will definitely want to purchase a better blade if you plan to use the saw a lot or need cleaner cuts. When I was looking for a miter saw I didn't think I cared too much about the laser. Now that I have it, I never want to go back! It makes cutting jobs so much quicker and more precise. The only downfall to this saw (and it is true of all laser tools) the laser is useless outdoors in the sun. You don't have to use the laser if you don't want to, as there is an on/off switch for it. The saw is not super light at almost 40lbs, so don't expect to use this as a portable saw to carry around a lot. All-in-all this saw has been fantastic. It is built extremely well, is simple to use, and makes great compound miter cuts. Would definitely buy it again, and recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a saw.

Great saw at reasonable price! Accurate cuts.
This is my first power miter saw and I had researched the purchase pretty thoroughly at various review websites. Iโm a weekend woodworker and was looking for a reasonably-priced, laser-equipped, high-quality miter saw for 45 degree cuts of 1 x 6 for a garage cabinet I was making. This 10โ saw makes highly accurate cuts. The laser guide can be adjusted so that the saw blade will cut to the right, left or center of your cut line. Iโm very pleased with that. The set up and installation instructions are of very low quality, with poor illustrations and hard-to-follow narrative. But thankfully you can do better by searching for and watching YouTube set up and operation videos from others who have tested or purchased the saw. In retrospect, I wish I had bought the sliding version of this saw since I needed to flip my 1 x 6 work piece over to complete a 45-degree cut. The saw will only cut the full 6-inch width at 90 degrees in one pass. Overall, this is an excellent saw for the price and a 5-year warranty. Mounting the unit to a frame that's square is not possible since one of the four holes of the metal base is out of square alignment. Odd. So I affixed the unit to a piece of plywood then to a couple of clip-on fasteners that come with the Tomax Mitre Saw Stand. Clipping the saw, with the platform to the saw stand is quick and easy. Take a look at the photos for the workaround.

A Woman With No Woodworking or Power Tool Experience...
I am a forty-something year-old, female with no woodworking or power tool experience. Iโm making wood signs and childrenโs blocks in large quantities. I knew I needed a miter saw. I got on Amazon and started product research. I landed on the Hitachi 15 Amp 10 inch saw, because A.) I read it was great for beginners. B.) It is one of the lighter and most portable miter saws. C.) I also read it came equipped with a laser and a dust bag. Checkkkkk???? C. Is the reason why my review will be minus a star. Please keep reading. My son assembled the miter saw in about an hour. He found the included instructions useless, but per my advice he finally YouTubed it. Thatโs when he got somewhere. I cannot emphasize how EASY it is to run this saw. I set the angle at 0 degrees and nearly out of the box was ready to chop wood. I am including a photograph or two. One photo is of boards for my signs I ended up not only measuring/marking, but also cutting with this saw in just two hours. I did this without reading instructions and with no prior experience. There was not a learning curve. If I can figure it out, you can too. The boards that I have cut in the photograph are almost all 15 or 16 inches. They came from 6-8 feel pieces of lumber. In that two hours, I also managed to set up my portable workspace, tear it down and put together a few signs in those two hours. The second photograph also took a couple hours of measuring and cutting. Itโs a pretty big box of childrenโs blocks yet to be sanded and painted. This saw works very efficiently with just a couple things that could be improved. I also purchased a Worx (WX501) Worktable and Sawhorse to pair the saw with. They work well together. What doesnโt work so well on this miter saw, hence my four star review are two things: the laser and the dust collector. The laser is almost useless in the sun. It doesnโt show up. It is also useless with any sawdust accumulation which happens very easily. The dust catcher on this saw is nearly useless. I may have to experiment a bit to see if I can find an extra tough rubberband or a shoelace, or something along those lines, where the dust catcher can be secured a little more firmly to the unit. For now I used a leaf blower to remove the sawdust off my temporary workspace (the deck). Time will tell if this miter saw holds up. It definitely is not a DeWalt as in I didnโt pay nearly as much. But, right now, as a true beginner, Iโm more than happy with my beginnersโ saw. Iโm also learning once you have one saw, you start learning you need other saws. I am only a couple days into woodworking. If things should change I will most certainly update you. But, at this point I would buy this miter saw again. Eight months later update: Iโm having issues with the saw not cutting straight. Weโve tried adjusting the fences. The saw blade is as level as they come. We canโt figure it out. I remember reading other issues-with time-people noticed drifting issues, crooked cuts. Well, itโs happening to me. Iโm online as we speak trying to get warranty info from Hitachi. This is after two days of watching every YouTube video under the sun, and trying every suggested fix under the sun with no luck. Otherwise, it had been (past tense) an awesome first saw. Weโll see what happens with Hitachi. If you found my review helpful please click/tap the helpful icon. Thanks so much for stopping by!

dang good tool. Laser worth the money.
for the money its hard to go wrong with this saw. it is accurate and dialed in right out of the gates. perfiectly square presets. Laset is adjusted as well. People may be asking if it is worth the extra 20+ dollars for the laser... I would pay twice that. at a quick glance I can see EXACTLY where my cut is going to be. Some folks have said the dust bag is just eye candy and does not really work. Well after a day of cutting trim, I would say it collected at least 50 -60 percent with 60T finishing blade. I have not used the one it came with however. Only a few minor complaints. 1. Miter angle plate for the horizontal rotation looks\feels a tad flimsy. Like it is really thin material. However it does not take away from the accuracty. It is dead on. 2. Laser angle is a bit odd. I thinik if the laser was mounted higher it would work better for showing cut on trim that is 4" or higher with less squint. For example if I cut a 4" piece of trim flat the laser is clearly visable even in bright light, but if I cut the same piece tall against the fence the display alont the top is not a clearly visable... I found myself using my hand to shade and make more visable. Other than those two things... Saw is light, accurate like a freaking scapel. Highly reccomend this tool.

Great miter saw. Powerful and accurate.
This is my first miter saw and I now regret not getting one a long time ago. I always used a hand power saw to make angle cuts that turned out so so. Now they are perfect. I've used the Hitachi for two days so far to cut angles on 2 x 4's and it was very easy to use. The laser is a bonus and well worth the extra $30. I did not have to adjust the laser. It worked perfectly out of the box. The laser really facilitates cutting slightly adjusted angles - that is if you cut an angle on a piece of wood then mark what the angle should be, you line up the laser on your marking by adjusting the angle, tighten it up, then put the new piece of wood on the guide and cut it. A real time saver. It also easily bolted down to my old Workmate 400 portable workbench.

You can't beat bang for the buck!
I am a DIYer with a limited budget. I am redoing a bedroom and putting chair railing up. I was tired of using my hand miter saw so decided I would look and see what was out there. At first when I saw the prices in the $500 range I thought I would be stuck doing it by hand but then I stumbled across this bad boy, couldn't believe the price and the reviews. So I bought this saw with a 72 teeth blade(a must for doing finish work) and have to say I was amazed! For the price it cannot be beat and it does an excellent job. Nice and clean cuts, angles fit tightly together, and I just couldn't be happier. If you want a miter saw and are on a budget this saw is for you....honestly I have no idea what a $500 saw can offer to make it worth the $350 difference unless it is doing the work for you as well!! I will admit, while the laser site is very nice, it is useless if you are outside in the sunlight...it is invisible. That being said, its a great saw and I highly recommend it!!

Great saw, and easy to start with and advance your skills
Iโve had this saw for a couple of years and still like it a lot. The limited amount of assembly required wasnโt bad, and itโs performed well since. Iโm not an expert woodworker and I canโt say Iโve fully put the saw through its paces or taxed its limits, but itโs done well with the work Iโve done. If youโre a beginner, I think youโll find it easy to work with and not intimidating, which in turn makes it easier to advance. In reading the 2018 Fine Woodworking Tool Guide I see Hitachi isnโt heavily represented, but this saw seems to avoid some of the failings of even the saws recommended in the Tool Guide. Many of the other reviews I read on Amazon before buying this saw do a better job of conveying its strengths and weaknesses (and are written by people with more experience than I have) so I can mostly say only that I concur with the positives and havenโt encountered problems or limitations that annoy me. With the caveat that I have little experience with other miter saws, I can recommend this one.

Excellent saw - this is the one you want.
Wow. This is exactly what I wanted. It feels powerful, it is able to cut wood quickly, neatly, at every angle. Easy to transport, as well. I can lend this to friends and they are impressed with the quality. I love that it has a laser on it. The laser is very accurate. When I cut, it does make a 1/8 of the inch thick cut, which means I need to buy wood accordingly. Easy to use. I love it. Well, well, well worth the price, that's for sure. I have actually gotten two - one last year, and then one as a gift for a friend because the one-year-old one has been so dependable/reliable/awesome.

Great Saw
This is an excellent saw for my needs. So far I have used it for deck-work with PT lumber. All aspects of this saw work as advertised. The mitre function is accurate and the laser is a nice add-on that I'm not sure I could do without.

Wonderful Product
I had several projects lined up that required a saw. Recently completed one of them and the mitre saw cut down the time substantially. It does a professional job with minimal effort. It is portable (for those back yard jobs) and precise for the fine woodworking jobs. Recommend this saw a to all DIYs.
