Keeps our boat looking good.
We apply this every year to the canvas cockpit enclosure of our boat. By sealing the fabric, we keep the cockpit dry, but also slow down the development of mold and stains on the canvas.

Does what it says on the tin
I’ve tried several brands of products for waterproofing. This one isn’t cheap but it works, though it smells very much like it contains the same stuff as Fabsil.

Great product.
This works really great one bottle was pretty for my little boat cover and even brought some color back to cover. Was streak free and no greasiness to it at all.

This stuff is the bomb!
I have a Classics Accessories boat cover that I bought from Amazon back in 2010 that is still in excellent condition. Unfortunately, its ability to repel water is no longer all it could be. Doing a little research, I came upon this product courtesy of the Sumbrella folks and thought I'd give it a try. There are basically two steps and you need at least one day when it isn't going to rain to get the full benefit. First, you clean your cover with 303 Products Fabric and Vinyl Cleaner. I bought the 32 oz size and hardly used any of it. A little goes a long way. I just wet down the cover on the boat with water, sprayed some cleaner on it, then scrubbed it with a soft boat brush on a pole. Hose it down well when you're done and walk away. Come back tomorrow. If it rains, no big deal. It's the application of the water repellent that requires 12 hours of sunshine; not the cleaner. The next day, I sprayed down the boat cover with the 303 Products High Tech Fabric Guard with Water Repellent. I used one of those $15 pump up sprayers that you use to spray Round Up in your yard and it took the whole gallon to treat my boat cover (which is on a 17' power boat). I walked away again. 12 hours later it was completely cured. This morning I stepped outside with a glass of water and threw it on the cover. The water blew off the cover like a hurricane was chasing it. Unbelievable! Talk about hydrophobic! I could not be more pleased. This isn't cheap but I can't see how anything else on the market could work better. It is incredibly effective. According to Sunbrella, I should be good for another three years, assuming the cover doesn't just wear out first. It sits in the sun out in the driveway every day the boat isn't actually on the water.

Not a drop of rain came through our awning!!!
We just bought a used 2001 Newmar Dutchstar motorhome and the fabric awning leaked like a sieve! Whenever it rained everything under the awning, including us, got wet. I researched numerous products and through an RV forum found a recommendation for 303 Fabric Guard. We also bought the 303 cleaner. Cleaned the awning one day and let it dry overnight. The next day we sprayed this on the awning. (we bought the 128 Fl oz bottle and used a pump sprayer like you use for weed killer and put it on the lowest setting so it came out like a heavy mist). We covered the areas of the motorhome that were close to the awning to prevent overspray from getting on the paint and windows and then sprayed the awning. It probably took longer to cover the areas of the MH that we didn't want to get sprayed then it did to spray the awning. Spraying the awning probably took about 30 minutes. This is the only product I have ever used that tells you to do it in direct sunlight! Lucky for us it's been hot and sunny! We had to wait over a week to see if it worked though because it hasn't rained for several weeks. Last night it rained so we stood under the awning and not a drop of rain came through!! Yay!!! 303 Fabric Guard works great! We will have to wait and see how long it will last. I am hoping to get a few years out of it before we need to do it again. This is an honest review from a motorhome owner and I am not being paid to give this review. I would definitely recommend this product. The price is very good especially comparing it to buying several cans of Scotchguard or something similar and the product works as well as they claim it does!

LIFE SAVER for white slipcovers!
We have the Ikea Ektorp sectional with White slipcovers in the sunroom at our airbnb/vrbo vacation rental. We have 2 covers so things can be swapped/cleaned as needed but since IKEA no longer makes 100% cotton slipcovers & the new ones can’t be bleached I wanted to protect our old version for as long as possible. Its sunroom location is directly off the pool area which means its heavily used and requires CONSTANT stain treatment & washing. This is life and we’re happy people enjoy are enjoying their vacation but it does get exhausting pre-treating & removing stains every 4-7 days.A lot of the issues seemed to come from wet bathing suits, suntan oils, and drink spills so I figured waterproofing might prevent wet suit color transfer & allow guests time to clean up spills before they soak in.So far this has done an AMAZING job at prolonging the time between washings!!I haven't noticed any change to the fabrics color, feel, or durability after using this religiously. A few of the cushions did develop some yellow areas that bleach hasn’t taken out but I don't know if that's a result of using this for over a year or if it was caused by a guest.—TIPS / STEPS—These are steps I’ve found work best for our use.1. Transfer product into HEAVY DUTY spray bottle (such as those found at Home Depot)•Low-quality sprayers deteriorate after 1st use2. Launder Items 1-2 days prior to treatment:•Treat stains w/ shout•Use as LITTLE un-scented detergent possible•2nd Wash: Just Borax & Vinegar•2 Rinse Cycles•Dryer*The manufacturers online info is very specific about the product only working if there’s NO residual product leftover in fabric. Yes...it's exhausting, but its made a HUGE difference in how well this works compared to just applying after normal wash/dry.3. Lay down clean cotton drop-cloth in driveway & place clean items on top.4. Put on gloves & a respirator/mask if sensitive to fumes. Also make sure no animals or children are nearby while spraying. *See bottom for further info about why this is important*5. Spray 1st side thoroughly.•Paying special attention to the edges & piping since these areas collect dirt & color quickest.6. Allow items to dry in sun for remaineder of the afternoon7. After they’ve fully dried I place them in a sterile bag & put it in the garage overnight.8. The next morning I Repeat steps 3-6 for the opposite side.•It’s entirely possible to do both sides in a single day...but I’ve found the chemical off-gassing lingers FAR LESS TIME if each side is sprayed & allowed to sun-bake for at least 5 hours before treating the opposite side.**GLOVES, MASK & NO ANIMAL / CHILDREN**Yes, there’s a very strong chemical smell that lasts 8+ hours. This is due to the ‘odorless mineral spirits’ content which is used as a carrier to help the waterproofing to penetrate into the fabric fibers. However unlike the name implies, OMS is far from odorless. So, PLEASE BE SURE to use this:•Outdoors in a well ventilated area•Away from all Animals & Children•Plenty of daylight time to allow for the mineral spirits to evaporate/off-gas.➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖For the sunroom we also use a Dash & Albert indoor/outdoor rug on top of the large jute rug, this has been a lifesaver and worth its weight in gold when trying to keep a rental spotless! It allows spills to be easily cleaned or even bleached out when necessary. We’ve spot treated between guests & removed to fully bleach during spring cleaning...both options are quick and easy with any stains coming right up.*Since posting the original review above I’ve also started using this on the rentals drop-cloth cabana style curtains on the outdoor pergola.Although we don’t see a lot of rainfall here in San Diego....the overnight condensation and random rainstorms meant they would only last 4-5 months before mildew & mold could no longer be bleached out and they needed replaced. After putting 4 new ones up I sprayed front/back to see if it might slow mildew. It worked well initially but after about 2 months it seemed to accelerate the issue since the new curtains were heavily spotted with mildew while the old bleached ones weren’t.This may be due to my quick spray rather than following the guidelines I use for the slipcovers. The drop cloths are heavily bleached before making the curtains so this residue + treatment might have made a bad combo. I plan to try again while following the slipcover steps to see if it works better, will update my review if so.

Really keeps Sunbrella fabric clean
Very happy with how this is performing. It has been about 6 weeks since I applied it to my Sunbrella fabric on my outdoor couch. These pads would get dirty within 24 hours of laundering them and you simply could not clean them without taking them off of the foam, spotting them, and laundering them. A major pain. Now after 6 weeks they are still perfectly clean. Anything I get on them brushes off. My advice however is to not do what I did. I sprayed everything down and had about 1/4 gallon left and decided to put a second coat on rather than toss it or store it till next year. Don't do that. It left an irregular pattern on them, it is barely visible, but prior to that they were literally perfect. I used a pump sprayer that you would typically use to spray weeds and that did a nice job. Also, avoid overspray on your patio, now the water beads up there and not other places, so it is a bit weird when wet. I have not been covering the furniture at all and all the random outdoor stuff that blows around or animals bring in has not been a problem, nor has my 13 year old son's penchant for spilling food on them. I expect to launder them next spring and put a new coat on, but maybe I won't need to.
