Read it!
Very well written with strong characterisation, hard to believe it's a debut novel. I found it hard to put down and read it in one day. It's fast paced and the dual character perspective moves the plot along nicely. It tells the story of a missing child and the internet and media's truly horrific victimisation of his single mother, along with the detective's efforts to trace him, so was highly topical. It's all about the prejudgements we make of people without knowing very much about them or their backgrounds at all. Look forward to more from this author.

Great
Was an easy read, not as much of a thriller as I thought it would be, but still a great portrayal of how the media can shape the public opinion during this situation

Dragged
Sorry but I didn't enjoy this as much as other readers did, I felt it dragged, I prefer a fast-paced thriller to an exploration of what is inside various peoples' minds. I guess we all like different things.

Far better than gone girl or others in the same genre ...
I have just finished this book and immediately pre-ordered her next.A difficult read at times, this really is a thriller through and through. From the first couple of pages I was hooked, and to use the old cliché I simply couldn't put it down.Far better than gone girl or others in the same genre I've read recently, this was recommended by a friend and has prompted me to write my first ever amazon review. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough- my only regret is I've finished it. Hoping the next one will be as good.

I enjoyed this book
I enjoyed this book, I read a lot of books, this one, lots of charactors you thought might have done something bad, then a twist at the end. You pray you will never be in the Mothers shoes!
