My daughter loves them

I ordered this set for my 12 yr old daughter. She picked it out & she absolutely loves this set. She’s very artistic & also loves cosplay so this set works on multiple levels for her. She has painted at least 1 mask every day since it arrived. All in different colors & styles. There are also holes near the edge, on each side, so you can put a ribbon (or something similar) through them so it can be worn or hung up like the painted porcelain masks. I say ribbon bc the hole is probably larger than necessary so I think you need something that will have a large enough knot to keep it from sliding right out. I also think a nice colorful or sheer fabric ribbon would look great if worn or hung. The only complaint my daughter has is that the set doesn’t come with enough paint. It comes with 8 or 10 colors, but there’s not much of any 1 color. The paint comes in the really small ,cylindrical plastic pieces that are connected to each other in a line. It’s the same style holders that almost every kids painting art set (like paintable plastic window decorations for example) comes with. It just comes with two so you have more colors. My daughter is already out of quite a few colors & resorted to borrowing a friend’s paint. That’s the reason I gave the set 4 stars instead of 5. It would definitely have been 5 stars if they had put more paint in the set. This is still something I’d recommend, but I also recommend looking into ordering more paint at the same time.

My daughter loved these, she painted them all in 2 days! I will say these are cardboard vs plastic so the paint absorbs and requires more coats but it was fun and durable.

My kids are homeschooled and we have group meet ups every week. I provided this as an activity for the kids and it was a huge hit. We were studying the week's unit was "cats: large and small" and ended the unit with this craft. It was a lot of fun to see the various cats the children came up with and the play that ensued after. The included paints definitely weren't enough so I recommend having an alternative set but the masks were awesome. They have a fabric like texture so they take paint well. I used acrylics and it worked out great. Despite the lack of paints, the masks themselves were very nice and the kids loved them. Would recommend.
