Great for immobilization
My right wrist is always hurting because I use my computer track pad with my right hand. Over the years it does a number on you. I've found that immobilizing my hand while I sleep helps a lot. This hand splint is perfect for that. I wear it at night and in the morning, the pain has reduced. I can wear it anytime I need to. The position adjustments are amazing as I've found that, for me, positioning my hand in the opposite direction of when I use the track pad helps the most. I've seen other braces without positioning options. I love this thing. I do wear a sleeve over my hand and wrist before I put this on. It helps with comfort and I won't need to wash the brace as often.

Good support for hand; finger loops too loose
What I like:-- This Resting Hand Splint comes with a well-written user manual that has step-by-step instructions on how to best use this product.-- The splint is comfortable for me to wear.-- The splint can be bent to different angles, providing good support for the hand. Once the splint is at a particular angle, it stays at that angle.-- There are a number of straps, which help hold the splint securely on my hand. What needs improvement:-- the loops through which I put my fingers are too loose. I would like to be able to adjust the loops so that it's a more snug fit.-- there is a zipper at the side of the splint. I could only unzip it part of the way (cannot unzip to the full length of the splint); so, I don't know what the purpose of the zipper is.-- It takes some effort to bend the splint to the position I want. I would prefer that it be easier to bend the splint.Overall, should I need to use this resting hand splint for a medical condition, I think it would be quite useful.

Good Splint for Hand Relief, but Strong Smell
Sometimes at the end of a day, my dominant hand aches terribly and when I go to sleep I shove it under a heavy reading pillow to splay it out for some relief. It needs that firmness and pressure on it to alleviate the pain. This splint is perfectly designed for that, and holds it more firmly in the needed position. The velcro is very secure, it is easily to put it on yourself with one hand. That extra band you see separately in the photo, is the final part you put on, you strap it over the middle of your hand/palm area to hold it down flatter on the support board. The supporting board inside is pretty neat, it is some sort of easily bendy metal, with a layer of foam glued on either side to give it comfort. You can bend it either direction, and it holds the position you want it in for your hand. A few things I did not like about this splint that you should know going it. It smells pretty bad (strong chemical-like) when it arrives. You definitely are going to want to air it out before your first use! Better yet- wash it! (See my directions on that later on in this disccussion...) Also, another thing I dont' like is that the material (and I'm super picky about this, but my desire for hand pain relief is going to trump my dislike about this..) specifically the fabrics used feel very cheap and unpleasant to me. I do not like to touch them when I'm strapping my hand in. But what I will say about that, is they are ideal for the Velcro bands to get a firm hold on, so maybe they need to be that type of fabric, and also when you are wearing the splint you don't notice the feel of the fabrics on your strapped-in hand at all, so I think I can get past this. The wash instructions, I found in the brochure on how to use, they say in them something to this effect: "if you are able to remove the metal board inside, remove it before hand washing, and then air dry." That is rather vague, the "IF" part, but I will answer that for you- YES!!! YOU CAN REMOVE THE METAL PLATE- and therefore you may wash this brace! The outside of it that is. It has a zipper (a bit tight and tricky to pull open, especially at a particular curve) but you can unzip and pull that mitten shaped metal plate covered-in-the-foam padding out, so that you can wash the outside of the brace. I figured I had better at least wash the outside before wearing the thing, due to the scary smell it arrived with. Pulling it out, it is such a close fit, (the outer part to the inner core,) that I'm a bit worried about getting it back in and being able to zip it back up, once I have it washed and dried! But I will update if I can or cannot do that after washing. I don't like to do handwashing so I put the outside casing in a "delicates" bag in the washing machine, and I will let it air dry, because if it shrinks at all- no way I'm fitting that metal board back into the center. (And it would be entirely useless without that core!) Also note: you CAN use this brace for either hand, there are finger loops on both sides of the brace. You don't have to move those at all to use this brace either just flip to the side you want, and it is ready to go! (See my photo from above to see what I mean about the finger loops on both sides.) And it does seem to me like it would be potentially comfortable enough to sleep with it on. I will be trying that for sure! Update: I washed the outside of the brace in the washer, and it still smells terrible after!!! It just makes me wonder what chemical it was treated or made with. Really gives me pause.

Brilliant little things!
I recently damaged my hand and this was a great little in the meanwhile. It allowed me to adjust my fingers and my hand as needed in case any one position got too uncomfortable. That was very helpful since I'm always feeling restless. Especially until I got my cast. It's breathable, roomy and really allows you to keep your hands stable if you're not supposed to be moving it but allows you to still let it breathe.

good idea but bad design
I thought this was exactly what I was looking for, good size, adjustable straps, held my fingers in place. But after wearing for just a few minutes, it stopped my circulation and hurt too much. because the whole base that the hand rests on, is just too hard. It needs more cushioning to be usable. Had to return

A highly supportive and therapeutic option
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Scurnhau Resting Hand Splint, and it has significantly improved my comfort and support during recovery. Here’s my detailed review:Pros:Comprehensive Support:Provides full hand support, including wrist and fingers, making it ideal for various conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, arthritis, finger contractures, and post-stroke recovery.Universal Fit:Designed to fit both left and right hands, which adds convenience and versatility, especially for those who may need to switch hands for treatment.Comfortable for Night Use:Designed for night-time use, allowing for continuous therapeutic support while sleeping. This can be crucial for conditions that require prolonged immobilization or gentle stretching.Adjustable Straps:Features adjustable straps to ensure a secure and customized fit, accommodating different hand sizes and levels of swelling or discomfort.Breathable Material:Made from breathable materials that help prevent sweating and discomfort during extended wear, ensuring better compliance with wearing the brace overnight.Pain Relief and Recovery:Helps in reducing pain and speeding up recovery by keeping the hand, wrist, and fingers in a proper position. This is especially beneficial for preventing stiffness and worsening of symptoms.Durability:Constructed with high-quality materials designed to withstand regular use, ensuring longevity and consistent performance.Cons:Bulky Design:The splint may be bulky, which could make it uncomfortable for some users, especially if they move around a lot during sleep.Initial Adjustment Period:There may be an adjustment period required to get used to wearing the splint, particularly at night. Some users might find it initially uncomfortable or restrictive.Limited Daytime Use:While designed for night-time use, it might not be practical for daytime activities where hand mobility is required, limiting its use to only part of the day.Fit Issues:Although it is adjustable, some users with very small or very large hands might find it challenging to achieve a perfect fit.Cleaning and Maintenance:The splint may require regular cleaning to maintain hygiene, which could be inconvenient. Depending on the design, it might not be machine washable, requiring careful hand cleaning.Heat Retention:Despite being made from breathable materials, some users may still find it retains heat, leading to discomfort, especially in warmer climates or seasons.Overall, the Scurnhau Resting Hand Splint is a highly supportive and therapeutic option for those dealing with hand, wrist, and finger issues. While it offers significant benefits in terms of support and pain relief, potential users should consider factors like bulkiness and fit to ensure it meets their specific needs.

Ottimo risultato, sagomabile

Super utile e comodo.

Well made and durable; strong velcro fasteners
The large size fits my hand well - the size guide seems to be a good indicator of which size to select.I got this to address symptoms possibly linked to numbness in thumb and fingers related to possible carpel tunnel syndrome. The main plate is strong and can be bent into shape you want. The fasteners are secure and hold the hand and thumb in place as needed.Overall there is a medical grade quality to this.Highly recommended.
