They do exactly what they are intended to do, and look great doing it! I think some may misunderstand the purpose of these plugs. If your amplifier manufacturer instructs you to place these in an unused input (normally a phono input) then this is what you should use. If they don’t instruct you to use them, then don’t put anything in it other than a turntable. Definitely DO NOT put them in ANY output! The nice thing about these is, you can remove the center post and use them to cover any unused RCA inputs or outputs. Just make sure to remove the center post first so that it isn’t a shorting plug anymore.

Not just pretty dust caps!
I recently measured the noise on my old Nikko preamplifier and the open air crosstalk went way down when I installed the RCA shorting caps on the inputs I was not using. So there is measure proof with an oscilloscope and a QuantAsylum QA401 analyzer. These things are not just pretty dust caps.

Transparency. It’s NOT silver .
The bill Quality at this point is entry level audio file. They’re not silver as advertised the nickel coated which saved you a ton of money you should’ve gold plated the hot lead center otherwise I’m gonna rate these a very disappointing for.

Well made, does the trick.
Needed to close the circuit on an old Fender style Amp in order for the Tremlo function to operate (without using a pedal to activate it, which I don't have or use). Now I can just dial in the amount I want, or leave it on "0"/Off.
