Reasonable price, no documentation at all though
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including a full overview of exactly what you get and the panel itself from all angles. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Very, very reasonable price for a 24 port patch panel.+ Standard 1U size (just under 4.5cm tall).Things I didn't like:- Absolutely zero documentation to go with it.Do I recommend it?If you're happy enough to go without documentation, yes, it's a very reasonably priced patch panel. One thing to note is that basically everything about installation is essentially permanent, from the cabling at the back to the unremovable clips to the white labels on the front. Not a negative and pretty much par for the course for this kind of panel at this kind of price, but worth understanding nevertheless as there is no documentation to warn you of this.

great product
If you're looking for a cost-effective solution to manage your network infrastructure, LMS Data is a great option to consider. I purchased the 24 Port 1U Rackmount CAT 5 E UTP Patch Panel Plus Back Bar For Data Cabinets (PPAN-24-LC2) and it has been a solid performer. The patch panel is well-built and easy to install, and the back bar helps to keep the cables tidy and organized. I've used it in my small office setup and it has improved the overall performance of my network. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to manage their network infrastructure without breaking the bank.If you're looking for a high-quality, durable, and reliable CAT 5E patch panel for your data cabinets, you should definitely check out the LMS Data PPAN-24-LC2. This patch panel is built to last, with a solid construction that can withstand heavy use and abuse. The 24 ports make it a great choice for larger installations, and the 1U rackmount design means that it won't take up too much space in your data cabinet. The back bar provides additional stability and support, ensuring that your patch panel stays securely in place. Overall, I highly recommend the LMS Data PPAN-24-LC2 for anyone looking for a high-quality patch panel for their data cabinets.

Clear layout
The back of this patch panel is quite nicely laid out and would be fairly clear and easy to wire up. I like the 10" form factor which with WiFi becoming mainstream for office use is clearly the way forward for larger houses and smaller offices. The only issue being 10" cabinets definitely seem to command an undeserved premium!

Easy To Use and Fits Perfectly
I am still building up my rack mount system but the frame and this is a start. I will be adding some non rack mount servers to it on shelving which will run the network via this unit so that I can swap connections if required. On opening, the is a very sturdy CAT6 network patch panel and comes complete with mounting bolts and a back bar to help with cable management. When I ordered this I thought it was a through put meaning it just had plugin RJ45 sockets back and front however the rear connections on this one require the wires to be pushed onto individual connections, this is likely a better option as once in place they are a permanent fixture leaving just the fronts to be swapped as needed. This panel is very well made and has a decent weight to it being produced from an all metal frame. When fitted the rear wiring takes a little work and no push down tool is supplied although it does come with covers that might be able to push the cables down with a little force, I prefer to use a proper push down tool which luckily I have ready to use.I am still in the process of wiring this up but the few that I have already done are working perfectly on a short test that I gave it.Terrific patch panel and good value, just takes a little work with the wiring.Recommended.

A good trade off if you're looking to keep pure costs low.
I sort of consider this style of patch panel to be 'old gen' because of the reliance on having clear access to the rear of the bar to revise any cabling in the future, which is difficult once all the cabling is clipped in place and the cabinet is populated, but even with that in mind I simply cannot argue with the value for this. The downside of the newer tech keystone style panels are that you have to buy the keystones separately and that cost can quickly mount, whereas this panel as all the mounting integrated and included, and you just need to make sure you have an adequate punch-down tool . A good trade off if you're looking to keep pure costs low.

Neatens Things Up
Having renovated my house over a few years I ran in Cat6 everywhere with it all ending up in a cupboard where it lay like a rat's nest of Biblical proportions. It was always my intention of putting the cables into a rack mount patch panel but never quite got there until this came up for review at which point I bit the bullet and tidied things up.And that's really the purpose of a patch panel. It brings order to the chaos and whilst not improving performance - it's just a connector in the end - does mean that you can organise your network so that it's easy to work on and thus makes fault finding or adding to it easier. This patch panel is well made, robust and priced competitively against the competition. It's a patch panel that requires the Cat6 to split and the individual cores punched into place. Not hard to do and the panel at the back is colour coded and easy to deal with. Makes for a professional job in my opinion.Overall an excellent bit of kit.
