A Beastie
I donโt know that much about knives even though I have several and have become a collector, thanks to the Vine program. What I do know is that this THRWCLUB Fixed Blade Survival Knife is really well made out of 420HC budget stainless steel. It is a full tang design, meaning that the entire blade and handle is one piece of steel. It features a one piece wrap around rubber grip that is attached with two hex machine screws. The tang protrudes from the rear of the grip to attach a lanyard or to be able to break something. The Tanto style blade is very sharp right out of the box and is obviously designed for stabbing. IMHOโฆ This knife is a beast. The blade spine is 3/16ths of an inch at its widest point. It feels blade heavy in my hand. I am not a fan of the rubber grips which, to me, detract from the control that the serrated spine and finger guard provide with a strong grip. I think that in most cases, Iโll be reaching for a good pair of gloves before drawing this knife. I note that other reviewers are dubious about the bottle opener in the spine. I am somewhat ambivalent about it. I do think that it is a useful feature and anyone who can be trusted to use this potentially very lethal weapon can probably open a bottle without committing hara-kiri. The KYDEX sheath fits tightly on the knife but does not have a locking mechanism. The knife snaps in and the sheath has excellent retention.. It is easy to draw and re-sheath while offering excellent protection for the knife and the person carrying it. The attached plastic belt clip has a locking button that allows you to open the clip for installation and removal from your belt. This is a welcome feature because you donโt have to remove your belt to attach or detach it. My first impression was that this belt adapter, while similar to other sheaths that I have, was not as high quality. This one is made from thinner plastic, came with no removable and adjustable belt guide clips even though there are slots to accommodate them, and canโt be reoriented to horizontal carry. The locking latch is also inferior. IMHOโฆ The included fire starter and sharpener accessories are poor quality after thoughts. The sharpener may do its job clumsily and damage to the knife blade in the process. The magnesium rod fell out of itโs handle a few seconds after opening the package. They will end up in a junk drawer waiting for use as a last resort in an emergency. I canโt know how this THRWCLUB Fixed Blade Survival Knife will hold up in real world use. As noted, it appears very well made and robust. I have no reason to suspect that it wonโt perform well in the field. I just donโt get into the field any more so I canโt really test it.

Beefy overbuilt knife
I picked this knife up because I thought it was more of a throwing knife, but turns out it's just a really overbuilt camping/survival style knife. That's ok with me since I love the way this knife looks and feels in your hand. It is very thick, at least a quarter inch or more. The handle is a harder rubber that doesn't make your hand sweat and feels very durable. As others have said, the blade is full tang and goes all the way through the handle with a bit sticking out the back for a lanyard or to be able to break glass with. The tang does taper down a bit but it is still so thick that I am not worried about it breaking. The blade comes incredibly sharp and has held an edge even with chopping up some branches in my backyard. The point is also very sharp and the tanto style makes it like a spear. This thing is like a mini buster sword. Not sure why they put a bottle opener on the blade other then a gimmick but I guess in a pinch you could use it. Seems a little reckless though. There's some sawtooth on the back of the blade that at first doesn't look like it should work, but it actually does cut smaller branches. But it's so thick that it takes a while. Better off using the knife as a hatchet for smaller stuff. The sheath is great too, it is a rigid plastic that feels sturdy and is overbuilt as well. The blade clicks in to it and stays put. I like this knife but I wouldn't use it for throwing.

Does a few things well, but it doesn't necessarily stand out.
I wanted to have a knife to keep around as part of a camping back-up (though we donโt do a lot of camping), but more so to have something in a go-bag or emergency kit. This seemed like a good addition, and although it was, it wasnโt quite as good as Iโd hoped. First, there were a lot of things I liked about it. The blade is thick, heavy and strong. The tang (I think thatโs what itโs called) runs straight through the pommel and out of the back. I didnโt take the handle off, but it seems like it does thin out a bit but remains reasonably thick and strong. The blade comes very sharp and ready to go. I also really like the case. The Kydex is thick, and quality and its construction appears strong. This includes the belt attachment. The knife sets in it with a satisfying โclickโ which indicates good retention. I did try the serrated saw blade on a small branch (about a 2โ diameter). It worked pretty well, but the serrations arenโt very sharp. Iโd recommend the user might consider sharpening them if you want to use it more often. I didnโt care for the serrations running into the handle. This seemed awkward to me. There were a couple of things that I didnโt like about the knife. My biggest issue is the handle. The design is very awkward and doesnโt allow for a very good grip. Itโs almost as if it were cut for a different purpose. I was able to hold it reasonably well, but it didnโt feel comfortable in my hand. In a pinch itโs fine, but this would bother me with frequent use. The rubber seems durable, if a bit soft. My verdict on the handle is that it was quite underwhelming. The second thing that I didnโt care for was the addition of a fire-starting kit and a sharpener. These are a nice touch, but they seemed to be an afterthought. Thereโs no god way to keep them with the knife other then a very thin chain or piece of cord (both included). So, while I lie having these, I would have liked more forethought on being able to better keep them with the knife (perhaps something on the sheath). Overall, this is a bit of a mixed bag. As knives go, for the price this is a pretty reasonable deal. As a comprehensive survival knife with lots of utility, I think it may be just a bit lacking. If youโre looking for something on a budget, this would be worth considering. If, however, you have a bit more flexibility on expense, you might consider something different.

Really solid, sharp and cool-looking
This is a really cool knife. It comes in a nice box with a sharpener, flint/steel with built in safety whistle. The knife is solidly built, it is very wide on the top, but it comes with already very sharp (see video of it cutting paper). The ridges and can opener on the back of the knife don't seem to be practical though. The handle is solid, but with a cut out that doesn't do anything, but doesn't affect the The sheath is solidly built and is adjustable , so you can angle it and the knife fits in easily and snuggly. It will hold upside down unless you shake it hard, then the knife can fall out. (don't carry it upside down, should be obvious). I did not use the sharpener or whistle, but the flint and steel worked good, however, I am not sure why one side is serrated, the flat side works good on the flint. Seems like a pretty good deal for less than $30.

Definitely a budget bushcraft/survival knife
The sheath is probably my least favorite part of the package. It does lock the knife it place, but the hinge to attach is trash, the material feels cheap and I would not bet my survival on it. The knife itself is heavy. Does not feel elegant, just heavy. It has most of the standard features a beginner knife would have. The grip is decent, and doesn't feel slippery. The thickness is good enough for standard abuse and bushcraft needs. The additional sharpener does fit the blade, I tested both the coarse and fine. It is useful as a gift, trainer, or for a first carry out in the woods.

Nice To Have In The Car
I like to keep a survival kit in the trunk of the car just in case we ever run into a situation that warrants it, and this knife was the first thing that went in it. The blade is very heavy and substantial, like something Rambo would be proud to use. It comes with a sheath so that you won't have to worry about losing any fingers while rummaging through your kit. If I ever went camping or planned on being in the wilderness for more than a few hours, I would definitely take this along with me. I'm not a knife expert, but I suspect something of this caliber wouldn't be hard to use to take down any foe. And if no danger exist, this knife could easily help cut down vegetation or kindle for fire.
