Well made, comfortable, secure, well-fitting hiking and walking boots
I'm 6'3" tall and 185 lbs. I also have size 15-Wide feet which has always made shopping for shoes really difficult. So you can imagine my delight in finding these Columbia boots in exactly my size! Columbia is a brand name I trust with a good track record over many years. The good news? They're comfortable, flexible, and fit me perfectly! The quality of these boots is also first rate - the stitching and assembly of the boot is excellent. The insole provided is comfortable, providing a nice cushion with each footfall. The quality of the soles and tread are tough and long-lasting! I do a lot of hiking and hill-climbing in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. I cover about 15 to 20 miles each time I go out and encounter a multitude of varied terrains ranging from volcanic basalt (smooth and often slippery), volcanic lahar (composite and aggregate mud flow which is very abrasive and rough), meadows, wetlands, gravely surfaces, and dry dusty trails. These are rough conditions with many changes in elevation, and these boots hold firmly on all of these surfaces. The ankle-high design with the scoop back gives your Achilles tendon room to move freely providing necessary support without constriction. I'm confident when hiking, especially on steep inclines with a rugged surfaces, that I can rely on them to keep me safe from slipping or falling. I'm keeping a log of how many miles I walk in these boots and will be interested to see what their longevity is. So far I've covered over 60 miles in these boots and the tread on the soles hardly show any wear at all. These boots are also stylish and look great when I wear them. I receive compliments on them quite frequently. A great consideration is also the value for the money. For a mid-priced boot, they outperform boots I've paid nearly twice as much for. I will definitely buy these boots again when the time comes.

good work boots
i work with animals so i prefer wearing boots like these. had them for a month or so now i think, and they’ve held up to my standards. slip proof, waterproof and durable against dog bites lol. fits pretty well and with someone who has flat feet, they are comfortable to wear for 6+ hours which is usually my issue. feel like i def gots my moneys worth and would buy again if / when it comes to that point

I’m a Fan.
I like these boots; I find them to be both lightweight and very comfortable. I wore them for probably an hour before hiking my first trail in them and they were really comfortable to hike in. They may be heavier than some would like and probably too heavy for thru-hikers who need to cut down on weight as much as safely possible, but for hiking some trails near your home? Awesomesauce. I’ve had my pair since September 2025 and it’s now May 2026 and they still look pretty much brand new. I have not gotten them wet yet so I can’t really speak to their water resistance other than to tell you that boots and shoes that claim to be water resistant as these do tend to take longer to dry when they get soaked so keep that in mind on long hikes. I’ve found this to fit true-to-size and pretty darn tough. I like them so much that I’m probably going to buy a second pair of them to have before my current pair becomes eventually worn out and the company is no longer making this model.

Top tier boots for the price
Most comfortable pair of boots i've probably ever owned. The wide toe box makes a world of difference. Grip is great, you almost spring forward with every step instead of having to overcome the slip of dirt and rocks. Making hiking feel like a breeze. Build quality is solid, with only very minor inconsistencies where the stitching meets the sole. Thick sole, too, makes me about 1.5 inches taller. Thoroughly waterproof. No leaks at all. Overall, highly recommend

good boots, pretty good price
Got these Columbia boots to replace my old Keens. The Keens are very comfortable but they're expensive and they were never quite as waterproof as I wanted. My size is 12, so I ordered 13 wide to keep my toes from getting squished together and allow for thicker socks in winter. What I like: * Right out of the box the shoes feel very comfortable. My toes are happy and don't get jammed when going down a steep trail. My initial impression after a few 5-mile hikes over fairly rocky terrain is quite good. * Although they look bulky, I'm impressed at how light they are. * Good ankle support * Lacing system is good. What I mean is that on some of my boots (e.g., my Keens) there's too much friction so it's hard to get them tight enough. I have other boots where there isn't enough friction so after pulling them tight the laces loosen up right away before I can tie a knot. Here, the friction seems to be about right. The top two set of eyelets are actually lace hooks, which makes it easier and faster to get laced up. What I don't like: Nothing yet Other comments: * They have less breathable fabric than my Keens so they are a bit hotter. This is bad in summer but good in winter * The insoles are just a thin pad of rubber-like stuff, about 3/16" thick, and they don't provide any support. However, it's easy to pull them out and put in your own insole if you need better heel padding or arch support. This is what I did and it works fine. * I haven't been anywhere that's wet so can't comment on how waterproof they are. * I'm really nervous about buying footwear online because I hate returning things. So it's a relief to get some boots that are going to work for me.

Very comfortable for hiking, but do NOT wear thin socks!
Excellent boots for hiking. The first day I used them, it was raining, and my feet stayed dry. The grip also seemed to do pretty well with no slipping. Very comfortable, and seems to be of good quality, but time will tell on that one! I must add though, you MUST wear thicker socks with these boots! When I was first using the, I wore thin socks, and something on the tongue of the shoe was rubbing against the top of my foot and was NOT comfortable! I bought thicker socks and no issues at all! Specifically, I ordered Eddie Bauer Men's Dura Dri Moisture Control Quarter and No Show Socks, and they were perfect.

Good comfy boots
I got these boots because my other style boots were hurting one of my toes. I believe it was actually due to the graphite toes. I've been buying that style for years....mainly because the cost was low and they were very comfy. Plus the cost was under $100. But now they are up over $200. And my toes couldn't take it anymore. Now, about these Columbia boots. I must say, I've been wearing them about a week now. And I really like them. Plenty of room for the toes. And very comfortable. The sizing seems pretty accurate. Plus, the price isn't bad either. I'd definitely recommend them.
