The scent is subtle and causes no irritation or residual residue. I've never had any of my colors lose vibrancy with this detergent and it's become my go-to.

5 stars as I havnt had enough time to see if it works. I'm leaving this review for the company of this product. There are many reviews about the bottle eventually leaking as this eats through the plastic. My issues is the cap that is used for measuring, first there is no instructions anywhere on planet earth for what the numbers in the cap mean and second you can't even see the numbers. I can barely see the 1. Please fix your product as that is unnecessary stress and trying to calculate and figure that out when I am rushing to wash clothes and clean. Also for Amazon they need to be held accountable for all these damage bottles that are arriving. Mine arrived completely leaked through the box and the driver still thought it was OK to leave that on my property to leak everywhere as well as whoever packed it they saw the damage which straight showed a forklift had punctured the entire bottle and they still packed my soap with other products in that same box they did not care about ruining my other products or the hassle. I had to go through to just clean everything up from the floor to it leaking everywhere as I tried to put it in the sink and the trouble I had to even be able to open up the rest of my packages that were shipped in the box. Honestly, I feel like Amazon owes me at least a $25 gift card aside from the refund because I did not order more work on Amazon. I ordered detergent not more work. These drivers really need to be held accountable because who delivers a package like that or even packages it with other things when they see it’s leaking. It was literally in a puddle inside the box.

This is a great detergent if you care about keeping clothes looking good. It prevents fading and actually cleans the clothing well, removes odors.

This stuff is GREAT! Have never separated darks or used special detergent for my black clothes but I did both changes at the same time and my black shirts still look as dark as the day I got them! Have probably washed my shirts 15-20 times so far and they still look dark as heck and I'm going to keep using this detergent! You won't be disappointed by it!

What can I say. It’s woolite but for dark colors. No complaints as it cleans great and is gentle.

This product truly is beneficial to all of my dark clothes. Black is my favorite and if I had to guess the ratio of black to light colors or even other dark colors, I would have to say it's 90% in favor of black so a product like Woolite Darks is absolutely wonderful! I've tried a couple of other brands over the last 3 to 4 years and although the other brands do work quite well, they're not priced as reasonably or as easily find as Woolite Darks. Also, I do use Woolite Darks on my light colored clothes as well because it I find it conserves the pastel colors and Woolite in general is well known for its delicate cleaning of clothes which adds to the clothing longevity. As an example to the quality of Woolite Darks, I've been washing my bathing towels, which are a rich chocolate color with Woolite Darks for 2 years since I bought them. I happened upon a hand towel that for reason had gotten lost from the set after the 1st wash 2 years ago. When I laid it across the other towels that have been washed consistently every week for 2 years, equaling about 100 washing cycles, the color of my towels that went through 100 cycles, still looked like the new hand towel! I always only use cold water on the delicate cycle and use the dryer. I never hang dry my dark clothing, or any type of colored clothing, even lights because I don't want the sun's rays to "bleach" my darks. Just for reference, I'm on city water and it contains a HUGE amount of chlorine, which is notorious for stripping colors from clothes over time with every wash. I don't know how Woolite Darks is able to keep my Darks, especially all my blacks from fading, especially with the high chlorine content, but it absolutely works wonders!!! I highly recommend this product to everyone and in fact I often do recommend it to family and friends. The only reason I knocked off a star is because one time I had ordered larger size bottle, and my Woolite Darks was poorly packaged and the entire bottle emptied into the shipping box and the seller refused to compensate me. I no longer use that seller. However, my most recent purchase that was delivered on 10/27/2025 was also poorly packaged without the cap tightened and missing the strong plastic tape on the cap to prevent any leaking of the product. Unfortunately, one of the two bottles did leak quite a bit and it leaked onto a package that was a food product packaged in the same box! So the loss of one star is for whomever packaged my order and NOT a reflection on the product Woolite Darks.

This product has helped to keep my black and/or dark laundry from fading fast. The scent is nice. I like being able to control how much product I use, since sometimes these loads are smaller than usual (not like with a "pod" of detergent).

I purchased the Woolite to defend the colors in my clothing they will losing and fading so I've Noble light to always keep your colors bright the value for the money was a great bar because Woolite is normally very expensive and it's did last for more than a month it does have a great fragrance the scent is not intrusive it's mild I can't speak for the ingredients because I honestly am not sure but it doesn't irritate my skin and once again I have sensitive skin so that is a bonus for me the size is a great size for the price for paying it is easy to open I didn't have to struggle with the twist cap so anyone who's having problems with their hands or anyone who you know is not as strong with turning it's not a hard issue to use it I would suggest holding the cap close to you when you're pouring it out because it does come out quick because it is a big jug but it is easy to use
