Bought three times
I love these shoes so much. I’ve bought them three times. They just feel so natural on my feet and running with them has really reduced my overuse injuries and I run faster in them than any other shoe I’ve ever owned.I highly recommend. Especially if you have supinated feet.

Good comfort
This item is very good running shoe with nice comfort and thick material but it can be a little tight and the color is a little unflattering.

Odd fit
Long time Altea buyer here, thee are not typical Alta shoes. I’ve purchased 15 pairs these fit terrible. Tried 2 different sizes and both were so tight on the top I couldn’t full lace and tie. Felt like I was wearing my kids shoes

Comfortable and supportive.
Great shoe for being on your feet all day at work. I like the support of the off-road sole combined with the cushioning as I work in a hospital and am on my feet quite a bit during my workday.

Altra Not Altra
I’ve been with Altra since version 2 of the Lone Peak shoes they make. Over the years the quality and functionality of the shoes have gone down while the prices have gone up.This shoe (Outroad) is no different. Now, Altra offers Slim, Natural, and Original for you to choose from instead of just sticking to the tried and true Altra ORIGINAL feel. This shoe is their slim style. I still get good room for the toes but across the top of my mid foot it’s snug. Thanks to people who cried to Altra (known for the extra roominess for the whole foot, the company forsook us OG customers and folded to people who just wanted a little room for the toes and nothing else. Basically, a Hoka with a wide toe box.As far as durability, I’ve had them for a week and I’ll have to wait and see. For past shoes since the version 2s of the Lone Peak, it’s hit and miss with quality now. Lone Peaks are about the best quality shoe from Altra you can get.In these Outroads, there’s no tounge padding so not only is it too snug across the top of my foot, it’s annoying below the tongue too.So, thanks again Altra for changing and leaving us original customers to only one original fit Altra shoe per category (road/trail) of running. My final judgment, DONT BUY.Edit: After two weeks of wearing it at the hospital for work and clocking 8-12 miles a day in them, the overlay on my left big toe (check the pic) is beginning to come loose from the upper material. Like I said, Altra is not Altra anymore. While their prices increase, the quality of their shoes have not. So, as a customer, I implore you to reconsider the purchase of the Altra brand until either their prices come down to reflect the quality or they stop making junk. Topo Athletic, while not as comfortable out of the box as Altra, all have wide toe boxes and zero drop options as well. I had the Topo Ultraflys for 2.5 years and there were no signs of wear on the outer. Only the cushion inside started breaking down. I used those shoes for work also and they’ve lasted and still look great. + Topo is a bit cheaper than Altra.

Runs small
Seems like a decent shoe, but either the size was mislabeled at the manufacturer or Altra purposefully makes this shoe’s length shorter than the others. I’ve been buying Altras for the past few years, and I wear an 11.5 (USA). This shoe in size 11.5 looks measurably shorter than my other 11.5 altras (pictured). I had to return them. And I didn’t see an option for exchange, so I guess that means I have to use my refunded money to buy a different size. But now they are at a higher price! Bummer.General observation - Altra shoe quality and durability do seem to have dwindled lately. Y’all need to tighten up, or lower the price by 25%-50%, because it doesn’t make sense to spend $100 on shoes if Altra is starting to skimp on manufacturing quality. I may go back to innov8 shoes again. I like my old Altras the best, but I’m concerned about the seeming decrease in quality.

My favorite shoes right now
I've loved Altras for almost 10 years. But one thing that drives me crazy is the way they constantly change their models. So I loved Torrin for a while. Then it evolved too much for me. I moved on to Timp. Same thing. Then Escalante. Same thing.So... all that to say: this is my favorite pair of Altras right now. I'm on my second pair and I wear them for everything: hiking, running, and standing at my desk. They're just the right combination of minimal support, with a little cushion, and some good tread.I guess my one warning would be this: if you wear them to run on the road very much, the tread will wear down pretty quickly - as is the case with most trail shoes.
