The CONTOUR NEXT GEN Blood Glucose Smart Monitoring System (Test Strips Not Included)

My contour next gen for diabetes was open up and the meter and every else was scattered inside the box the lance was open usely give you 10 strip they were missing

I have had a Contour for years and validated its results against other meters and laboratory glucose tests. I was excited to move to the next Gen which connects to a tablet or smartphone.The connection was relatively easy and the app is reasonably intuitive. I can easily bring in new data and see the results.The meter itself has provided disappointing results. It is consistently at least 18 to 20 pts higher than my other meter. Occasionally, it provides erratic results. I read that the finger must not touch the strip during sampling (not always easy). Even carefully taking samples, it occasionally gives a reading that is 40 to 50 pts high. I have learned to retest if the result seems suspicious.Overall, this monitoring system is not a total bust. (I mentally correct each reading.) But it is not the wonderful new tool I hoped it would be.

Husband discharged from hospital. Ordered kit to begin testing, but no test strips were in the kit!! I had to run to the pharmacy to buy some. Not good.

Not sure, unable to use as it was suppose to come with test strips and there were none.
