So far it makes ice faster than the one I had to replace due to overheating. This ice maker is smaller than my previous unit and the basket on this ice maker is way smaller but overall I have been able to fill up 2 reusable 5 lb bags to keep in my deep freezer. As for the other reviews saying it's loud it is not it is alot more quiet than my previous ice maker but the noise is not noticeable. I love the removable water tank so easy to fill and clean. Only thing I don't like but dont think it's a big deal the shape of ice is actually little nuggets not the round sonic ice but still serves purpose. I'm anemic and love eating ice. Also a must with purchasing any portable ice maker is purchasing the INSURANCE!!!!! AN ABSOLUTE MUST my previous one lasted 1-2 years and them started overheating. Get 3 years!!!!

This is a disappointing review to have to write. We returned a previously purchased ice maker, an Outgava brand (but there are 50 more under different names), when it started making an ugly strained whining sound, and Amazon insisted that a return was the best option. This one (different brand, same style of ice produced) had better reviews, including talking about excellent customer service. After plugging it up, it started making *the same noise* after about 48 hours. It got worse and worse. Initially, it would work for a day or so before the noise would start. Slowly it was down to just a few minutes after starting the machine before the horrible sound would start. I followed the "product support" links with Amazon, and it led me to the Euhomy website, and a support request form. I filled it out nearly a week ago, and I've had no response. You see, I suspect this noise might be related to our water (well water, treated with a chlorinator and a water softener). I see other reviews that are all over the map about this issue. It is my guess that there have been enough returned that the seller has some idea as to why this happens. I'd *love* to keep this unit if we can get it to quit screaming like a banshee, but they don't even respond to their web form. So this one is headed back to Amazon before the return window runs out, but I'd really like to find a way to make it work. So for other considering buying one of these, we love the ice, and the removable reservoir (even with the awkward method for pulling it out), and the *normal* noise level was fine. It was this horrible sound that developed that ended our appreciation for it. We love the nugget ice, but primal screams are not going to work. See the attached video.

I got this ice maker in July of 2024 . I loved the ice and everything about it. It was easy to use and made soft chewy ice quickly, however after a few weeks it began making a screeching sound occasionally. I continued using it for several months but it continued getting worse and eventually ice production slowed and then finally it quit. Of course my 3 months was past so I called the company and they were awesome. They sent me a new ice maker and I was not required to send back the old one. I was skeptical about the new one , after the short amount of time the first one lasted. I have waited several months before sending a review just to give it time to prove itself. I have to say that it has been working perfectly with no noises. I love this ice maker and for the price compared to some name brands , I don’t think you can beat it. And their customer service is top notch. I would definitely buy this again !!!

I've been thru FOUR ice makers from this company. They all seem to die around 7 months if you use them daily. I baby my appliances and take good care of them. Cleaning them once a week. Only using bottled water in the water reservoir. Turning it off when not in use.. without fail every single one starts making a loud screaching noise and then eventually stops making ice completely a day or so later. My last model was only replaced 8 months ago and now it's dead again. The time before that was at 6 months, etc. It's absolutely crazy to me that these won't even last a year. The last time mine died I had to jump through a bunch of hoops proving that my ice machine was dead and then it took a couple weeks for me to even get it replaced because they only responded to my emails once a day even though I quickly responded after each email. Then once they sent me the replacement I must have got a refurbished appliance or just another crappy one because it instantly started leaking on day 1 and I had to contact them again and have that replaced. It was extremely frustrating!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!!!!

Ice production is great, keeps the ice coming. The capacity of the ice bin is pretty good and is replaced at a good clip. I wood buy this again as the ice is very easy to chew (more crushed than cubed). The amount of ice it puts out and the ease of use makes it a great buy for the money. Make sure you clean it often as it collects all kinds of particles and will clog the water flow. I clean mine every two weeks as we live in the sandhills and have dust issues even with air purifiers running.

I have had a few ice makers, but this one is super quiet and makes ice very quickly. The bin and water are good size for such a small machine. The ice is the exact texture I was looking for, easy to crunch on. I almost didn't buy it because there were reviews saying it was loud. It is the quietest machine I've had. You can't hear it running or the ice drop, and unlike a couple I've had, the bin fills all the way up instead of piling on one side and saying it's full when its not. I don't know yet about durability, I will update on that if there are problems, but I haven't had one yet that has lasted more than 13 months. In fact this one replaced one that lasted exactly one month past warranty and the company wouldn't do anything, even though they replaced its 4 month old predecessor that broke with EXACTLY the same issue. So I am hopeful I can keep loving this one for more than 13 months! So far it is fabulous! If you're on the fence- get it, you'll love it.

Three strikes and you're out! I ended up with seriously 3 different machines. First was damaged in shipping (think it as upside down for some time because it didn't make but maybe6 crushed nuggets and then it would grind which made me turn it off because I didn't want it to explode! Second worked and jut stopped after 21 days. Third we wonderful after 2 months with proper cleaning between usage it took the water from the holder and ran it through to sit in the bottom reservoir. Didn't make ice, didn't get cold NOTHING! So I contact Euhomy and after a month back and forth keep in mind I've had it for just over 3 months now I need to send video and order pictures and the back of the machine. No response. I get a message saying since they haven't heard from me they are assuming everything is good. Me ????????! No! Reply again and shotty say maybe they should check the spam for my response. Nothing so I write a new message instead of replying and Bam! That worked. So again we go back and forth. Finally I'm told they have none in the warehouse so they would like to refund my purchase........ Through PayPal. ? ? ? So now I'm going to find a different ice machine NOT by Euhomy, good service when you can get it. Very difficult to jump the hoops and no real resolution. Oh well I guess you can strike out in buying as well as Baseball and Love. 😂😁 Hopefully this helps someone make an informed decision.

On the pro side, this is one of the less expensive pebble ice makers. It makes decent ice but ours ran slightly too cold and the ice freezes to harder pebbles. It replaced another (different brand/design) unit that had given out after a couple of years. I was a little disappointed at the noise level but it wasn't too bad until a couple of weeks ago when it started screeching like a banshee. Gave it a couple of multi-day breaks in case ice had built up in the unit and a good cleaning, but after a half hour or so it gets back to shrieking. Not going to go through replacement because even at its best it was just louder than I want to have going.
