This survival paracord is designed in bracelet style which ensures that you can wear it easily. Simply slide to lock or take off. It is a must carry on survival gear when you go camping, hiking, fishing or hunting trips. The bracelet could be disassembled as rope for making traps, building tents, and in a lot other emergent situations; the scraper works as a fire starter, but could used as a knife as well; the add-on compass feature provides easy safety for navigation while travelling; the built-in whistle is clear and loud to be heard from miles away. How to start fire? First, find some inflammable materials(like papers, dry grass, dry leaves, barks, pine needles, twigs or cotton etc). Second, slowly scrap the magnesium into powder using the scraper. Just scratch it with patience, make the powder enough to be fired. Pls note that you need to put the powder with the inflammable materials together. Third, Pls fast scratch the magnesium rod with strong force, so that you can light up the inflammable materials. Specifications: Maximum tension resistance : 550lbs The whole rope length: 126inch Diameter: 0.16inch Bracelet size: 9inch(L) * 0.98inch(W) Package Includes:2 * Survival paracord bracelet

Really good for the money - A few notes/niggles for perfectionists though.
There is a LOT to like about these (And I actually paid for mine unlike many other reviewers so here's a very unbiased view :-) )Robust non-adjustable bracelet - My wrist is 7.5 inches and I think if yours is much bigger than that it would be uncomfortably tightUseful compass at a N/S/E/W level - You must use the bracelet open or without the metal striker as its proximity throws the compass reading offWhistle - Surprisingly Loud. Really .Fire lighter. - Scrape some black coating off the rod (add to tinder) then strike the scraped area with the scraper. OKScraper as knife ? - Suggested in some reviews this is not really practical in my view. My keys are sharperParacord. - Appears good quality cord, single length and really neatly tiedNigglesA niggle is not really a complaint. But ..... For a nice finish (and ease of unwinding) they trim the two ends of the cord back to lay absolutely flat with the rest of the bracelet-cord surface. Be aware this made one of mine (out of 4) fairly easy to come loose if scraped or twisted a bit although the next knots along in are tight so it won't un-ravel completely on you or catch on stuff ! You just have to use a second bracelet to figure out how to re-tie the first! If like me you find that happening and decide to try to correct it yourself please note : Voids warranty, Your risk, Don't blame me - only my view, the cord burns, get parents/guardians permission, don't play with fire etc etc).;Hold each untied and loose end upwards into a lighter flame carefully FOR A MOMENT ONLY. This will light, melt and shorten the cord a fraction - blow it out! - and thereby create a slight 'mushroom head to the ends that makes it a very firm fit once the cord is pulled tight and re tied.WARNING Too much flame or too much mushroom head and you won't get it re-tied and/or freeing it in an emergency could become a challenge so start with just a very slight heating and see how it goes for you then ..I'd say on average they have perhaps gone a few % too far for ease of untying the cord rather than it staying tied. To be fair maybe that's the right balance for general emergency use . . .

Fantastic bit of kit
Fantastic bit of kit. I initially had a bit of a problem with the item, but the seller contacted me and dealt with the issue pretty damn immediately - what more can you ask for? The service by them is among the best I've had, so thumbs up there.I find the bracelets to be quite a nice fit and the paracord seems strong, I've unraveled some of it and it has the required 7 inner threads, each made of 3 threads, which would be something that could easily be used as tinder for a fire (of course to go with the striker). The compass' are okay - obviously not as good as something you'd pay 70 quid alone for, but are accurate enough to use if this is all you have on you (if you're gonna buy these bracelets you're going to be wearing them at all times for basic Survivalism, right?).The ferro rod, although small does the job quite well. I've started a couple of fires in the back garden with them as a test - they do the job quite well once you get the hang of them. Obviously they are for emergency use, so once you have the hang of it don't be starting fires unnecessarily otherwise you may be stuck if you run out! Again, for lightness and portability they are good to have - as you may have a bigger ferro rod in your B.O.B. but you never know, you may have had to ditch that for some reason, or may be caught out without it). The whistle is nice and loud too.All in all I'm happy to give a five star rating, and special thanks again for the sellers for sorting my issue out so speedily.I'd definitely buy this product from them again.

Too large
A cool looking multi functional bracelet, but the wrist diameter is large and non adjustible and so I now have a disappointed son. We tried it outside. The Metal bit in the middle of one of the clasps is too short and I kept nicking the plastic on either side when trying to strike it to make sparks. Overall I would not recommend this at all as a survival tool. Get something with magnesium that is easier to strike and create a spark. Also, I just found that the same item is made but with a watch face. Correct the non adjustibility or make a childs version and reviews might be better.

Useless without instructions
These items look as per the picture and come in a nice box but with no instructions whatsoever. Found out how to use them by reading other reviews. What is the point of a survival item if you don't have instructions on what it includes or how to use it?

Nice product works ok.
Good product very happy but I gave them as guifts & then bought another version that has a thermometer as well....which doesn't fit at all it's only child sized. So this product is a good & fits an average male wrist it's easy to forget your wearing it too.Compass not great but both work..

Arrived today, handy piece of kit, compass and fire stick both work and it's handy having all together in a simple bracelet that is a bundle of emergency para cord! Looks good too!

Great present for the adventurer in your life
Great value and fab gift for any person who loves the outdoors/survivalist training. My boyfriend loves it - even if it does mean he annoyingly uses the whistle to signal for another cup of tea!
