EverDrive 64 v2.5

Enough said. This flashcart is the go-to for N64. For the price this one feels much more worth it to me than the newer ones. Incredibly easy setup, ROM hacks work flawlessly, well made with a stylish design, this thing is amazing.

I really do love Krikzz products. I own the Super EverDrive and wanted to dive into the Everdrive 64. Setup was pretty simple:1. Format the SD card using FAT32. I bought my SD card at the corner pharmacy. It was a 32GB card for $11.00. This was entirely overkill, since every NES ROM and N64 ROM will only take about 6GB of space.2. Extract the latest OS update from the kirkzz website to the SD card. ED64 will be in the root of the SD card and the files are inside that directory (ED64\AUTO, ED64\CPAK, ED64\SAVE, emu.nes, Os64.v64).3. I created an N64 directory in the root of the SD card and placed my N64 Roms in that directory. I also created an NES directory and placed my NES ROM backups in that directory.4. I made sure the cartridge was correctly switched to NTSC since I live in the United States. This is a tiny micro switch accessible from the SD card slot. I used a jewelers screwdriver.5. I inserted the SD card in the cartridge and I was ready to go. The menus are very easy to navigate, just select your ROM file and Hit the A button on your Nintendo 64.6. If you're saving games to play a later date, remember to save, then hit the Reset button so the system saves your game state.Albeit, I have not tried them all, there has not been an Nintendo 64 game that the cart could not play. My roms are all in .N64 and .Z64 formats.I had issues playing NES games with my TV. My Sony TV uses a shared Composite/Component input and the TV was having difficulty seeing the NES games as a locked composite video signal (I think it thought it was an RGB signal). The video was black and white and it was not holding vertical sync. I hooked up the Nintendo 64 to my VCR inputs and this resolved the issues. I later pulled out an RCA to HDMI scan converter and that defintely improved the quality. If you're having video issues, i would suggest a scan converter. Amazon has cheap ones for under $13.00.Just an added side note, the cart will not play zipped up ROMS. Make sure your roms are unzipped. Not all the NES games would play. This is not a deal killer since I eventually plan on getting the EverDrive N8.I'm extremely happy with the purchase. My girlfriend and I spent Christmas day playing Mario Party where I was humbly beaten over and over again.

Bravo *insert clapping hands emoji*If you are a Nintendo 64 Fan of any caliper, this is a must have. With today’s prices of games and the ease and convenience of having this at your disposal. It should be a no brainer to add this to your Nintendo 64 collection, or a great reason to head out to your parents garage find the box of priceless things you haven’t seen in years, dust off the N64 and order yourself one of these. You will not be disappointed.

Overall, the product is great and works fine. I did end up returning it because this is the lowest grade of 3 available. I wanted a bit more and needed the RTC in order to play Animal Crossing. So, before you purchase this, think... "Am I happy just playing ROMs or do I want all the whistles and bells?" That's it. This is the cheapest (and reliable) entry into playing ROMs on your N64. I can't complain with it and it's worlds cheaper than trying to buy or find an actual game at a reseller.

Overall, I am really enjoying the ease and accessibility of playing all the 64 games. The "reset" to save is a pain... But it will grow on me (trust me I made a mistake already haha.)Doesn't come with any games but I found Everdrive SD64 on eBay. Problem solved!When I first got it, I had to change the little switch from PAL to NTSC as Pal was the default. After that, it was good to go. There was no instructions on how to set up the cartridge... So i suggest doing some research before hand. However, the info is easily attainable and I was ready to rock and roll fairly quick. I wish they had more color options for the cartridges.. Or if they could sell replacement shells in different colors.. That would be sick. I did see some red ones online but not for sale anymore.Highly recommended!

Great experience! I bought the Everdrive 64 version 2.5. I've never used an Everdrive product before, but this was very easy to use. Item was just as described, brand new out of the box. I read some negative reviews on this seller that I'd like to clarify for you. First, a few people complained about the shipping time - if you're in the US, realize that it's being shipped across an ocean so expect a bit longer shipping time. Second, if anything doesn't work the way you're expecting it to - ask questions, look up videos on this stuff on Youtube. You also have to realize that this product is only as good as it's counterpart SD card that you load into it. This is the only issue I had personally with this product. I had read reviews saying there was an SD64 seller on Ebay, but when I tried to track it down the seller had moved to Etsy. Eventually I got an SD card on Etsy and the seller offers to format it to whatever version OS your Everdrive is. If you're going to make the SD card yourself then you should'nt have any issues, but if you're going to buy one pre-loaded, make sure it's compatible with the version of Everdrive cartridge you're going to purchase. Also, if you're in the US, there's a tiny switch behind the SD card slot to change it from PAL to NTSC. And be careful when inserting the SD card, I accidentally put it in at an angle and it fell into the cartridge. If this happens to you just get a tiny percision screwdriver and you can open it right up and get the card out. Wish I had known a lot of this before I made my purchase but after all is said and done - VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER! I absolutely love having the entire US library of N64 games to play on my console without having to switch cartridges, all you have to do is hit the reset button on the console and you're right back to the menu screen to pick a different game. I highly recommend this product.

Llegó muy rápido tan solo 2 días, bien empaquetado y sin ningún problema, el producto es de excelente calidad, tendrás que comprar una memoria sd aparte y bajar el OS de la pagina de krikzz pero es muy fácil, eso si no trae ningún ROM tendrás que buscarlos tu pero hay algunos sitios donde puedes bajar un build completo y tan solo copiarlo a la memoria en menos de 10 minutos ya lo tendrás listo para jugar, el precio es muy bueno aunque es la versión 2.5 es suficiente para lo que necesitas, la versión x7 es casi 100 dólares mas y lo único que vale la pena es que no tienes que hacer reset para salvar los juegos y tiene reloj interno que solo se usa para animal crossing y un puerto USB que es para desarrolladores que la gente común nunca usara, en conclusión con el v2.5 tienes todo lo que necesitas con excelente calidad.

I am happy with the product. It isn’t exactly as advertised though. I bought an SD card at the same time that I bought this (as by all accounts that was what would work). However, as you can see in the photo, that size did not work. I had to run out and buy a mini SD card. It’s whatever for the overall benefit of the library that I gained. It took a while (35 days in total) to get to my door. Overall I’m happy with the product thus far. I’m having an issue with saving some games but I guess I’ll figure it out somehow..

Ich habe mir das Everdrive 64 v2.5 besorgt, und bin begeistert. Es ist die neue Version mit schwarzem Sticker und MicroSD- Karte. Alle Spiele die ich habe, funktionieren ohne Probleme. Alle Rareware-Spiele funktionieren ohne Patch, ohne Probleme. Speichern funktioniert auch. Ich bin glücklich😁

I now own 4 EverDrives, and just like the others I am very pleased with the EverDrive 64. It works with all of the games that I want to play, and the setup was not bad. If you buy one and aren't sure about setting it up there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube. Even though this is not the latest revision it offers most of the same features as the newer ones. Now seems to be the time to get one too, as the prices seem to be coming down on the older versions. I think Krikzz must be trying to move out all of the old stock.
