Half the book
It stops before they reach the fountain... at first I thought because it was that I own the kindle edition, but people with the paperback copy are complaining of the same thing... Very shocked! Up until this book the other books have been complete. I read Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3, but like I mentioned, they were complete...Should have expected as much... the other books are all between 25-38 chapters, so since this is only 11, guess I should've figured it out before I started to read... But I assumed since it was only 150 pages like the rest of the books, or around 150 pages, that it would be complete and the chapters in this book would just be longer than the other books... My assumptions were wrong though :( Shame on them... They should make another book to finish up this one at the very least...

The story covers just a little over the first half of the film.
What there is, is actually quite a nice read; therefore, I bumped it to two stars for that portion. I might have given it four or five if not for this: the book inexplicably stops at the point just before Jack jumps off the cliff. Sorry, but that's like issuing a version of Gone With the Wind that quits at the point just before Scarlett and Rhett get out of Atlanta.A novelization of a film needs to cover the WHOLE film, not just half. You'll be wasting your money, so don't bother.

Missing End of Story
Just what the title of the review said. The end of the movie is not there. Disney did this with At World's End also, I don't understand why they would do something like that. The book is worthless without the ending. With At World's End they at least had an Exclusive Edition for sale through Barnes and Noble (which I have ordered) that supposedly had the ending for At World's End. But so far I have found no such exclusive edition anywhere that has the ending for On Stranger Tides.Without the ending the book is worthless, it's like watching a TV show and it gets cancelled with a cliffhanger and you are left wondering what happened. I hate when that happens.

I got into it, then it just ended
I haven't seen the movie yet and I didn't expect much since the last 2 were just long, weird and not as fun as the first film. I easily got into this book though and I found it as good as the first movie. Since there's actually a story that goes somewhere and not just double crosses and weird sub-plots "like the last film." That is until On Stranger Tides ends suddenly with no ending and just throws in a small portion of what I guess is an upcoming book about a young Jack Sparrow.

The Last Few Chapters Are Missing But It's Great Anyway
I think my Kindle lost the last couple of chapters but I loved this book, anyway. Of course, I'll read almost any pirate book and this one didn't disappoint. Having seen the movie, it's fun to read the book and imagine the scenes in my head. I also enjoyed Curse of the Black Avenger - Blood Sails, Dark Hearts ($1.99 Book Series - Pirates) , a pirate fantasy novel for teens.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Junior Novel
Very interesting and well written though I admit to being a bit nervous about whether this Disney Junior version was age appropriate for the 7 year old boy who I bought it for after he had listed the book on his book wish list! He loved it! So all is good!

Half a book
The book was only half a book. The only reason I give it two stars is that it is good book but it is still half a book. That really disappointed me!

it's a very easy read because it is a junior novelization but perfect for my 9 year old son who was thrilled to receive it
