This camera is great value. It is simple and easy to use. It has a great battery life and switches easily between still camera and HD video. It has been taken skiing and coped well with extreme cold. It also survived several knocks and is not as delicate as it appears. Before the purchase, I compared the camera to its latest nikon cousin, and quite honestly, the extra cost was difficult to justify. Very happy

I wanted a camera that had a good zoom and was small and easy to use this one is simple just point and click zoom is not noisy like some and picture looks great on computer a buy recommendation from me

As a user of Nikon SLRs and DSLRs for the past 10 years, I was looking forward to the same level of quality in a compact camera, unfortunately I was quite disappointed. The build quality was inferior , in particular the access to the memory card which looked like it could snap easily and the lens guard which jammed half open and meant that the camera had to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair (at least I had the two year warranty) Picture quality, resolution and saturation in normal light was good Picture quality with flash was poor, blur caused by camera movement and artifacts caused by the sensor were evident. All in all a disappointment

I am very pleased with the camera, but find the instruction booklet supplied doesn't tell you how to use a lot of the features - which leaves you with trial and error. Maybe Nikon offer a better guide that is downloadable from the internet - I must try that. The combination of a relatively wide angle lens plus good zoom works well, as you get better scenery views, but can still get close-ups. The video works well.

Slow to switch on, Flash doesn't always work as required. We bought this to replace an old Kodak model but it doesn't come close, had it a while now and I'm just not happy with it.

Bought for my wife to replace her ageing Casio which was beginning to give trouble. Not used a great deal yet, but she has been able to adapt to it easily after a pretty short demonstration and is very happy with the stronger zoom. As mistakenly taking movies instead of stills was a regular problem for her on the Casio (caused by accidental turning of a rotating knob, which could happen very easily), the Nikon approach here of using a separate release button on the back of the camera to take a movie, leaving the usual one on the top for stills only, seems a good idea. The Nikon is not as solidly built, or so it seems, as the Casio was, but it has a lot more functionality at a fantastic price, and when the apparently pretty solid Minolta (the one before the Casio) got dropped some years ago, it broke anyway, so there is probably not much point making a "light-weight" camera heavier on those grounds. All in all, this seems destined for some years of happy use, and I'm happy if she's happy!

I bought this as a package with the case; which entirely failed to protect it. Product is clearly shoddily built.

J'en ai pris possession depuis peu de temps. Je suis agréablement surpris par les possibilités insoupçonnées (au moment de l'achat) de cet appareil. Les différents modes scène et rafale sont très bien et permettent de réaliser de très bonnes photos. C'est ainsi qu'on trouve notamment un réglage permettant de faire des photos de nuit à main levée et un autre qui prend des clichés avant même qu'on ait déclenché, ce qui permet de saisir des expression du visage originales. L'appareil est léger, très facile à emporter, la qualité des clichés me paraît très bonne, le grand angle et le zoom 10 X permettent de faire face à beaucoup de situations. Il faut prendre la peine de lire attentivement le mode d'emploi et/ou les informations fournies sur le site de Nikon pour pouvoir exploiter les nombreuses possibilités de cet APN. Le fonctionnement est très intuitif. Un petit bémol éventuel, si la qualité de fabrication est globalement bonne, certains éléments (trappe donnant accès à la batterie) semblent un peu fragiles.

Disappointed .firstly box Seems to be already opened as there was no freeHDMI cable within it.(as mentioned on box) Secondly internally defected screen.shows a yellow strip.so they are giving unboxed and defected piece.shame..

Fotocamera Fantastica, rapporto qualità prezzo onesto. La qualità dell'audio nei video è veramente cristallina e continuo tutt'oggi a rivedere video filmati nel 2014/15 su uno schermo in 1440p e non ci sono difetti evidenti o mancanze che mi fanno dire "non vedo bene", qualità invidiabile, dopotutto Nikon difficilmente delude su queste cose. Ad oggi ci sono modelli molto più qualitativamente alti ma questo resta una piccola perla del passato. Consigliato!

Die Wahl (auf dem mittlerweile unübersichtlichen Markt an "Kompaktwundern") hat es geschafft 4 verschiedene Geschmäcker und Fokusse unter einen Hut zu bringen. Obwohl unsere Familienkompromissentscheidung auf schwarz fiel, sei doch die große Farbauswahlmöglichkeit erwähnt. Die Cam überzeugt schon durch ihre Maße und das geringe Gewicht. Sie ist sowohl für jede Handtasche, als auch für Parkmöglichkeiten in Hosen- oder Hemdtaschen geeignet. Die Bedienung/Menüführung ist easy und selbst für technisch talentfreie wie mich geeignet. Schon beim 1. Ausprobieren, ohne das Handbuch gelesen zu haben, entstanden (in- wie outdoor) richtig gute, scharfe Fotos. Welche später in größerem Format ausgedruckt, auch meinen diesbezgl skeptischen Mann überzeugten. Für mich ist der Automatik-Modus genial. Meine Restfamilie erzielte durchwegs tolle Resultate mit den diversen Einstellungsfunktionen. Die Kinder waren am meisten begeistert von den Nachbearbeitungsfunktionen (schon in der Kamera. Erwähnt sei auch, daß Fotos im Dunklen, wie auch bei Gegenlicht gut gelungen sind. Mit ein Entscheidungsfaktor für die Kids war die Videofunktion in HD-Qualität. Bis auf ein leichtes Rauschen, haben die Testvideos dann auch uns überzeugt. Sehr gut ist, daß der Bildstabilisator wie erhofft funktioniert. Unscharfe Bilder gab es keine bisher. Etwas Negatives ist vielleicht teilweise die Speicherzeit nach einer Aufnahme. Ansonsten hat die Kamera wirklich all unsere verschiedenen Wünche und Bedürfnisse erfüllt. Das umfangreiche Zubehör ist gut durchdacht, es muss lediglich durch eine seperat zu kaufende SD-Karte erweitert werden. Für diese Kamera spricht die simple, logische Bedienung, die vielfältigen Nutzungsvarianten, die Maße, die Spielereien (besonders wichtig für unsere Kinder), das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und natürlich die gestochen scharfen Ergebnisse. Als Familienallroundkamera nur empfehlenswert.
