Let me preface by saying I don’t write many reviews these days nor am I getting paid for this, LET ME TELL YOU!! This countdown timer is it, it’s larger worth the extra money the cute fruit graphics capture attention of my kids has a good auditory countdown clicking as well as a nice ending ring that’s a good length to capture attention from kids, I was hesitant to spend a few extra $$ but it’s worth it 1000% compared the cheaper options. This baby is huge and visually easy to read and understand, it has 3 options one is desktop/tabletop, 2nd you can hang it on the wall & 3rd it has magnetic strips that are very strong to use on a fridge or something magnetic! I attached a few photos and a short video so y’all can hear it, in the photos I compared it to a quarter(bottom left corner) and a Lowe’s mini bucket. Really this thing is pretty straightforward what it says it is and the large size is a plus, I was surprise when I opened it and it’s really helped my kids when it comes to completing tasks on time or being able to conceptualize time/how much is left til XYZ we use it for morning and nighttime checklist routines so they can do them independently and still understand how much time they do or don’t have to complete, if you’re on the fence I’d recommend this over others!!

I love this timer for my special education students! I have many who are low-vision, and this is a great visual due to the larger features and color contrast! The thing I think I might change is the sound when the timer goes off. Other than that, it is truly great! I'd order more in the future if I need more! It's easy to use and can be placed on the magnetic board or on the desk.

Ok, so let me start by saying that I did not read the dimensions and this was a lot bigger than I was anticipating! However, it's awesome. It doesn't require batteries to operate, has a magnetic backing, or you can just stand it on your night stand table. When it hits the zero mark, it rings for about 3 seconds (as long as you make sure to wind it to the 55 minute mark first and then bring it back to your time marker counter clock wise). This is going to be great for my toddler to visualize time!

While this timer was super cute and conveniently large, it stopped working after two weeks. The alarm stopped going off.

I got the orange one for my kids. It’s so cute, and helps so much with time management. But it is really big! So if size is important to you, check the measurements 😆 It has a pretty loud ticking sound, so that’s something to consider. It bothers some of my kids, so I might look into other brands as well. Hopefully there are quieter ones?

My students love this timer. The watermelon pattern is clear and easy to track. The sound is loud but clear. If you do not want the alarm sound to go off then you just set it to your minutes first without doing a full rotation

I got this to help myself with ADHD time blindness. Looks-wise, it's great -- easy to see across the room and has a cute and appealing design. The downside is the sound design. This makes a loud, fast ticking noise that drives me spare on some days, particularly the days when I need it more. The buzzer is also irritating, but less of a stressor. If you or your family are sensitive to sounds then I would recommend going with a different model or brand. I've been very happy with my Secura-brand silent desktop visual timer.

This helped a lot with forming habits and setting time limits for my daughter. I will be using it for my son soon as well seeing as he’s approaching the age where it can help. It’s easy to set up and the orange display is really cute.

Great for the classroom. Not too loud and love that it doesn’t need batteries. The kids love using it and it helps with organization.

This thing is so fun! I was using it as a visual aid during focus groups for the non-profit I work with as you could physically see time passing across the room. I think it would be great for elementary school teachers as well given that a friend ended up stealing this for her kids over focus groups were done. She said it helps them stay focused during homework or chore time but also that it feels more fun for the kids because of the citrus fruit motif. I could see this being great for classroom management and honestly, as a human with adhd, had it been smaller I would have totally brought it to the office to help keep me on task. This is a great visual tool for the neurodiverse folk out there and for young people just learning to manage their time. It also has a really satisfying tick sound like an old school egg timer or clock.

I've been looking for a mechanical timer for years. A good one and this is it. Pros: 1. No batteries. You just wind the dial to 55 minutes and then set the dial to the desired time. 2. Large face at 7 inches wide. 3. Magnetic back to stick on the fridge. It is strong - doesn't fall off. 4. Has a notch to hang it on the wall as well. 5. Has feet to place on the table if you don't like the fridge or the wall. 6. Our children love it. Helps them set the timer when cooking (i.e: baking cookies). Cons: 1. It uses a bell - it doesn't have that digital beep, but it is loud enough to hear the bell go off. It has a short period of going off when time is up. If you are out of the room, you could miss it. Unlike digital clocks that beep forever, this will ring for about 2 seconds and that is all. You miss it, you miss it! 2. Ticking - the ticking is loud and noticeable for people sensitive to the ticking hands of a clock. It isn't a big issue for us, but can be a problem if your kitchen and sleep area are close by. Sometimes, no a ticking timer is better and just a digital beep is best when the timer goes off. 3. Aesthetics - it isn't the most discrete of timers on the market. The face (which is a fruit motif) can be considered tacky by some.

On the positive side, this does what it claims. It looks nice, it's cute. It's clear and obvious. The magnetic attraction against metal surfaces is plenty firm. It has a kickstand so you can stand it up on a table. However, I might have liked to see a bit of anti-slip on the base, though I'm nitpicking. I kind of like the mechanical, non-battery approach. I like the old style mechanical ringer! (drrrring...) However one big downside is the quite prominent ticking sound. From up close, many may find that sound disturbing. Across a large room it fades into the background more. I wound it as far as it would go and it ran only 15 seconds over the one hour duration, which is more than precise enough (within ~0.4%). But when we set a 10 minutes timer, it was off by maybe 15-20 seconds: it's not super precise. That's probably close enough for many uses, just perhaps not for very short intervals.

This visual timer is actually quite large! But the magnets on the back are surprisingly strong - I have trouble pulling it off the fridge! It also has a stand, so it can sit on any surface. As someone with ADHD: I like how the numbers are rainbow coloured and are gradient as it goes around. It's very pretty to look at, and the kiwi fruit part is quirky. It's quite soothing to look at and listen to. It has an alarm bell when the time runs out, which is loud enough to hear but not so loud that it's startling. There isn't an option to turn off the alarm, like some other timers, but the alarm on this one doesn't make me jump like some other ones do. There is a ticking sound that is quite loud (other visual timers I have don't make a ticking sound), but it's fast enough to be like a fast paced song (which makes me want to move), and I actually like the ticking - it keeps me aware that I'm on a time limit. Other visual timers that are silent, I forget about them, and then get scared when the alarm happens, and have not been on task because I forgot I had a time limit. This one keeps me present. If you find yourself dancing to the ticking sound when you turn on the blinker in your car, this might work well for you! Or the sound might drive you crazy lol.
