Western Digital Elements 2Tb Portable External Hard Drive (Black), Usb3.0

This is a great hard drive. I previously had a 1 TB hard drive of WD and that worked really fine. That is why I decided to go for a 2TB hard drive of WD. Though, Seagate hard drives are much better than WD because they are thinner and they sustain for a long time like WD. I purchased it @Rs. 5599. Pros- 1. WD is a very reliable name in the field of hard drives. So it is reliable. 2. 2-year warranty. 3. small in size. 4. Reading speed is amazing. I got around 150 MBps/ 1.2 Mbps while reading. (Data was a movie and USB port was USB 3.0) 5. Writing speed is also great. I got around 55 MBps/ 440 Mbps while writing on the hard drive. (Data was a movie and USB port was USB 3.0) 6. The speed of reading and writing on USB 2.0 ports is also great. 7. USB 3.0 cable is already included in the package. So you don't need to purchase a USB 3.0 cable separately. 8. The length of the cable is enough for normal usage. 9. The product is original. So you can get is registered on WD website. You will also get your warranty from there. 10. Cheaper than Seagate models. (in general) Cons- 1. If you are in need of a long USB 3.0 cable then you will be disappointed. The length of the cable is just enough for normal usage. 2. The hard drive is somewhat thick. You will get a Seagate hard drive of the same capacity to be slimmer. Final comment- If the price is not a big issue for you and you want a slimmer hard drive then go for Seagate hard drive. Else this is certainly one of the best choices.

Decent product. Tough build, good quality, decent speed for file transfer (60-90 mb/s) . The box consist usb 3.0 cable and the hdd. I am a developer so i wanted an hdd that could act as a backup for my projects and drives which consists of large no. (around 4 million) Of small sized(10-20kb) files . Although it took around 20-30 mins to tranfer this data(around 450 gb), it was at least faster than any otger source i could try.. This does not have any build in software so it can work with Windows/mac/linux. I tested on linux/win. The other wd hdd( those colorful mypassport hdds) have some encryption software which could cause problems while using with linux, so i prefer this. And the product was delivered a day earlier than expected. So , thanks amazon.

I have been using this for many years now. It works without any issues. Decent read-write speeds. Build quality is good. I have taken care of it and it looks as good as new even after so many years.

This review is after using it for 3 years. The best HDD I've used so far. Price was a bit high comparatively. Still using it carefully. Read speed is very good compared to the write speed. Some tips I use is like keep it away from mobile phones which can cause issues. And still using it in the same box not used a separate case.

This HDD is very reliable, fast, highly compatible and capacitive. With a USB 3.0 connection to your PC, this hard drive rocks. Just lacks a sleek look, and is quite weighted, but never disappoints you when it comes to your work. Customer support is good, but is not available everywhere, but atleast not as Seagate which even doesn't even helps. Allover, product is value for money!

Compact and so far reliable. I registered my WD hard disk on their official website the day I received it and instantly received an acknowledgement for a near 2-year warranty via email. I recommend new owners do the same. I already own a 1TB WD External HDD for a few years now facing my share of problems with it, but so far my experience has mostly been positive. I purchased this hard disk back in 2018 and till now 1) No bad sectors 2) No Defects 3) Dropped twice from height of 1.5 feet, still working 4) Works on OTG as well (Checked on Realme 1,2,x, Oneplus 5,6,7t and many more mobiles) 5) Still gives 80-90 mbps copying speed while copying from External to Internal or vice-versa

I have been using the hardisk for past 10 days and till now i haven't faced any difficulty or whatsoever. PROS:- 1.The overall and average speed is good. 2. The hardisk is compact and light in weight. 3. The storage is more than enough atleast for me i.e 2TB 4. Its good to have 2years of warranty CONS:- 1. Material is not durable so have to be carefull while handling it. 2. The speed fluctuates and it is not constant but as i said average speed is good. 3. WD should provide some case for the hardisk Overall i am happy with my purchase which is from Cloudtail India and maximum transferring speed is shown in the images .

Ho acquistato questo qualche anno fa per usarlo come memoria esterna sulla mia PS4, e devo dire che è stato un acquisto davvero azzeccato. Da allora lo uso regolarmente per installare giochi, salvare dati e aggiornamenti, e non ha mai dato il minimo problema. La compatibilità con la console è perfetta: basta collegarlo e formattarlo in pochi secondi, e la PS4 lo riconosce subito senza complicazioni. Le prestazioni sono ottime, i giochi si caricano velocemente e non ho mai riscontrato blocchi o rallentamenti. Anche a distanza di anni continua a funzionare come il primo giorno, segno che la qualità WD si fa sentire. Inoltre è piccolo e leggero , quindi non dà fastidio nemmeno quando resta collegato in modo permanente. All’epoca l’avevo pagato a un ottimo prezzo, e col tempo si è dimostrato un acquisto più che valido. In sintesi: affidabile, capiente e perfetto per PS4, consigliato a chi vuole espandere la memoria senza complicazioni.

Un disque dur externe portable (D'une dimension de deux virgule cinq pouces!) qui fait parfaitement ce pourquoi il a été conçu, avec un taux de transfert digne de ce nom... Que dire de plus... Rien, si ce n'est qu'il me satisfait pleinement chaque fois que je l'utilises...

Bought 2 units at different times.Solid devices. Connects fine on either Windows 7 or 10. Connects great. Quick file transfers as default connection allows. Plenty of storage (for me). Both used as backup file storage devices. Good price. Good product. Would recommend even if im mainly a WD user.
