Very Good Product
After reading reviews of many chinstraps I decided on the PapCap. It took about a week to arrive. As many others have said, it tends to run large, but not so large that it doesn't fit after careful adjustment (my regular cap/hat size is usually medium, or small/medium - which is the size I ordered for this product). The cap is very well made with a thoughtful design. The small flap at the back over the neck has solved the painful misery I was having with my Bi-pap headgear. The chinstrap is surprisingly comfortable, and works very well. It could be shorter, as I have to cinch it so high that the ends of the strap form small accessory "ears" for me, but it is still completely functional. I'm ordering a second one today in order to rotate them through the laundry. I will definitely be wearing this cap every night. Overall, a great product that is very comfortable and solves a problem for me 100%.

NOT one size fits "most", it is a size "small"
After using this cap for a while, I kept thinking I was putting it on wrong. But, I finally checked inside the cap and found a little tag with "S" on it. No wonder it kept slipping off and loosening the strap so that my jaw would not stay closed! I have found that other sellers offer two sizes, and I would have ordered the large size if it had been offered on this item listing, but it isn't. I will attempt to return it. UPDATE I changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars because after contacting the company, they exchanged the small size for a Large size at no cost to me, so excellent customer service. However, other vendors which sell both sizes include instructions in their description to measure a couple of head dimensions to determine the correct size to order. The large size works great for me and does not slip off my head since the rear Velcro straps now correctly fit the shape of my head. This design of chin strap does not put concentrated pressure on any one part of your head, which means that your hair is not smashed down in one location, which can damage the hair follicles. The cap also does not make my head feel hot, I guess because of it's lightweight cotton material. All in all, when sized properly, this is a good product.

... unconsciously pull it off during the night so a waste of time and money
I diligently tried it but I still woke up tired (so doesn't fix sleep apea) and because it is uncomfortable you unconsciously pull it off during the night so a waste of time and money. Not a solution but at least better than the lycra ones that make your face sweat and break out in a rash and also don't work. For most people just do the right thing and loss 10-15% of you weight but for normal weight people like me we have the wrong shaped anatomy and will have to go on CPAP or something else more invasive. No solution from a strap unfortunately despite my best efforts for a month

Dang me! It works!
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2006 and handed a CPAP machine. While I should have traded it in after 2-3 years, I lost my job in 2008 and lost my health insurance. So it lasted 7 years until a couple weeks ago when the machine burst into flames a minute after putting the mask on. Yeah, that scared the you know what out of me. Since then, I have been a walking zombie. Cannot afford a new machine. I am so disoriented it feels like I have dementia. Then a week ago, I tried the Breathe Right strips and it helped. But I had to sleep only on my sides and keep my mouth shut. It helped a bit, but not enough. I did extensive research before buying this Chinstrap. I saw it had good ratings and crossed my fingers. I got it today and needed a nap. I figured out how the contraption works without much stress, strapped on a nasal strip, and went to bed. I slept like the dead. I was able to sleep on my back, my sides, and over under sideways down. I think the nasal strip is an important adjunct to the strap. I am almost too afraid to whisper that it works, but is sure seems to. The real test will be the next few weeks. I have been taking naps (I'm an old f**t) ever since my CPAP did a fireworks show. And I've been waking up more tired than when I lay down. This is the first nap I woke up from and feel rested. I did extensive research before I pulled the trigger on this thing. It works. Check for follow up.

Product OK, but too expensive for what you get
Product works OK, but too expensive. Buy adjustable cap, cut shade off and attach wider Velcro chinstrap bases for much less. Good concept of spreading pressure over entire head, though. Need to tighten cap as it may end up over one's eyes during sleep. Chinstrap location not wide enough to avoid Velcro irritating ears. Chin strap a bit tight, but nature of elastic. I would rate chin strap 4 star itself. My main issue preventing an overall high rating is the cheap nature/quality of the cloth material of the cap/hat (albeit it works) and the excessive lengths of Velcro and cloth bands on the back to attempt to fit any size. It is also a nuisance to sleep on the adjustment ties / lump in the back - why not put on forehead as I doubt users sleep face down with a CPAP mask on ...? For that price the seller should NOT have "reinvented the wheel", but asked an existing cap hat manufacturer to produce a "fit any size" cap for $8-12 without a shade, turned it around so the adjustment would be over the forehead. Then attached the Velcro base using a width twice the width of the chin strap so - depending one ones head size - one can place the chin strap so the Velcro strap ends don't touch and irritate ears. Personally I would have preferred the option to have the chin strap be cloth all the way up and not cloth at bottom with elastic higher up so as to minimize the pressure on my chin and cheeks, yet providing a fixed limit as to how much my mouth/jaw could open.

Poor quality assurance
Did it fit, sort of was it sewn to itself with the attachment points badly placed? Yes. was the chinstrap backwards on one side so that you needed to flip it leaving your chin unsupported? Yes! was it over all a good idea with bad manufacturing? Yes

Seems to be working. Takes getting used to.
I have slept two full nights. At first I could not sleep with it, so I came up with this strategy. My strategy was to put it on loosely on top of the CPAP strap so that I could take it off if I didn't want it on. Also I tried with the strap really loose at first. I found my jaw wanted to be open, so I was struggling at first. I used a vibrator massage to loosen up my jaw a bit so I wouldn't resist it. This is a similar strategy to how I got used to CPAP, by gradually using it more and more until you get used to it. Bad time of the year to start using this because of the heat, but I've got no choice. I also might start shaving before I go to bed, because the chin strap itches a little. It feels really comfortable, and I can tell that after awhile I will feel "naked" without it. I had to re-adjust my CPAP straps now that I'm using it under the CPAP straps (which is ultimately better I think). I've noticed a difference, but I'm having other issues with sleep especially with the heat, and other aches and pains that I am having not related to apnea. This seems to be taking care of my problem with my jaw opening, so I'm happy with this, and don't forsee any major issues with it.

Best chinstrap I've ever used.
I waited for over a year to write this review, as I wanted to see how this performed over time. I would have given it 41/2 stars, but since that isn't an option, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I waited as it took me some time to figure out how to get it exactly right. Then I waited because I wanted to see if it would last. It's been well over a year, and is still going strong. I have washed it on many occasions, to no ill effects. Just tossed it into the washing machine with my other clothes. I do try to keep an eye on it in the dryer, and take it out before it over-dries. I use an Aloha nasal pillow mask, and started needing a chin strap after many years. This is far superior to any stand-alone chin strap I have tried. It helps my mask fit better (helps to keep it in place, too). The chin strap is easy to adjust to a specific pressure, if you need to change it. My one quibble is, it is a bit low in front. I have to fold the front edge up, a bit, to keep it from creeping onto my eyebrows. If it wasn't for that, it would be perfect.
