This storage box was the perfect solution for storing my wedding dress. It was a nice size. Large enough to hold my carefully folded wedding dress with a long train. Acid free tissue paper, and white gloves were a great bonus.

I was a bit concerned with this when I first decided to use it. It seemed way too small for my wedding dress. Mine was the poofy kind with a long train and as you can see from the assortment of pics, I did have a bit of a struggle to make it work. I was a size 4 and 5 ft 8, with lots of beading and tulle so it took some sweat to figure out if it would work for me. However, once I figured out how to squish it in, I definitely love having my dress in it. It feels much safer now than in the giant plastic trashbag it's been folded up in for years. A few cautionary aspects: 1. I think this would be better served for the smaller style of gown in order to genuinely have it fit correctly, as mine is definitely barely holding up against the zipper. I do not see someone with a super puffy gown being able to de-fluff enough to use this. 2. The light can filter into it. Wedding gowns (and anything white quite frankly) have to stay in dark spaces or they will yellow (hence why I had mine in a big black hefty bag for almost 30 years). This is something to keep in mind because this box did not have any insulating qualities that would protect it from light so I would suggest if you use it, keep it stored in a dark place. I keep mine in the top of a closet with no windows nearby so this wasn't an issue for me, but something to keep in mind. It is lightweight even with the dress and easy to move around with handles on the top and side. I had no issue moving it onto a tall shelf in my closet. It is a hard mesh-like material so it wouldn't hold up against chewy critters, but it has created a whole lot of extra space for me, and while I wish it had been a bit bigger so I my train could have laid flatter, overall I'm happy with it.

My wedding dress has been sitting in my closet in a wedding dress bag for over 16 years. The bag started ripping at the bottom exposing my wedding dress to dust, dirt and whatever else is in the closet.What I should have done when I came back from my honeymoon is send it to the cleaners, have them clean and preserve it. That didn't happen so of course, the dress isn't in the best shape.When I came across this wedding dress storage box for under the bed, I decided to order it in hopes my dress would fit into it.At the time, I was pretty heavy so the dress was big. Add that to the fact that I have an insanely long train that bulked it up more.I have attached a few photo's for you to see what I'm talking about.I knew I needed a large storage box and I prayed this one was big enough.I tried to put the dress inside this storage box yesterday but I had difficulty. I have the attention span of a gnat and the patience to go along with it, so I asked the hubs to take care of it for me which he did.He was able to get it packed into the storage box very nicely. Although it's tight and the lid is bent a little over the dress, the dress is fully in the box and it's zippered up.The box came with a ton of tissue paper and gloves. I did ask the hubs to wear the gloves when handing the dress & tissue paper which he did.I appreciate the fact that the box fit nicely under the bed rather than having to go into the closet or up in the attic.It's made really well. There is an insert that goes into the bottom to keep it up and not folding in on itself which is helpful.I really love my dress, even now and I want to preserve it for as long as possible. My daughter will never wear the dress but maybe my granddaughter will find some use for it. She's only 1 so we have a long time before she gets married.Overall, I'm very happy with this storage box and I definitely recommend.

Not what I was expecting

We needed a storage solution for an old wedding dress. The dress is about 75 years old and we want to keep it in good condition. Hanging it is an option but it takes up a lot of closet space. This seems to be a good option for long term storage. The case itself seems durable. It was easy to set up and use. It keeps sunlight off the material and should certainly help with dust.

I had a big wedding dress and for the past 1.5 years it has just been hanging in the bag in the back of the closet. I wanted to try this bag if it would be enough to fit my dress (if not, I would've just used it to store off-season clothes). I was pleasantly surprised with the box and I was able to nicely fold my dress in it. You get a lot of tissue paper, enough to line the box and put in between the folds as well as a big moisture control pack. A nice touch were also the white gloves included to handle the dress cleanly without smudging it or getting it dirty (I honestly didn't end up using it, but kept it in the box). I was even more surprised that while it was on the hanger in the bag it was pretty heavy and dragged, but in the box and maybe having the weight more distributed, it became easier to pick it up and move it around and the box fits perfectly under the bed, or I could've even put it in the corner of my closet but I don't want to put stuff on top (it is still a soft top box so putting things on top of the box can cause wrinkles and creases to the dress while inside).
