This is a must have for any gamer that grew up in the 90โs
I absolutely love this thing and am very impressed with it! I went to the companyโs website anbernic.com, downloaded to OS software, and flashed that to a better quality 16gb Micro SD card and then added more games on the included 64gb card, so I would recommend doing that and definitely watch some YouTube videos on how to set it up for the best experience. Itโs crazy playing Final Fantasy 7 from PS1, all the OG Sega and Super Nintendo games on this thing. The screen is stunning too. Iโd say the worst part about this is that it be a bit uncomfortable for long playing sessions as itโs pretty small but man itโs great though! This device has really got me into Roms now and downloading them essentially reliving my childhood, but YouTube how to flash the OS on a new SD card because the ones that come with it arenโt necessarily the most reliable, so for the best long term results gets a few Scan Disc Micro SD cards.

Powerful and versatile
Versatile and capable multi-system emulator. Comes prepackaged with with a great collection of of retro titles. It is possible to add others, using user-supplied ROM file content. It is also possible to opt for different emulators like Batocera for the unit. I find even PSX titles run well on the emulator. I have changed out the game microSD card for a 1tb version, so this means a very large and well-scraped metadata presentation library can be enjoyed on this small handheld gaming platform, reminiscent of a Game Boy but capable of emulating far more advanced and graphically rich game content. The SD adapter shown in the screenshot is not used to install a microSD into the system. It is only put there to indicate brand selection and show relative size of a memory card versus the console.

Plays most games well. FUN!
This is a cool little handheld console. Plays TONS of games on the included card and most of them run well. It will take me forever to get to all of them.

Updated Review - Check the box
Originally I had thought this did not come with any of the preloaded games and only a 32 GB card. But while rifling through the box I discovered the 64 GB card tucked away beneath the screen cover. I had assumed it would be installed on its own. So all is as expected, just be aware that your secondary card is not pre-installed, it is floating somewhere in the box.

Great out of the box and everything is there!
RG353GS black: One of my adult children is really into these retro devices. I ordered this one to give to him, but I might actually keep this for myself. Just turn it on and it's ready to go and it's full of games! All the buttons work really well and it's been fun sitting out on the porch playing a little bit. Myself I'm not a big game person and have avoided most of it all through the years, but I am enjoying this little fellow. Quality looks good. I think it would make a nice gift to someone who has an interest and maybe doesn't have one of these anymore. A good distraction!

Screen size always matters. The bigger the screen\nThe better to play you with
The most important thing about a video game is the size of the screen.\nYou do not want to go blind.Looking at a teeny , tiny tiny little screen. The second biggest thing is the game\n lackluster.\n Kind of sucked. Just being honest. For a game that cost about $75, I wish I could get my money back. Not being rude. Screen size, if you have a bunch of doubles in the game, then you have a bunch of doubles. At least five doubles in that game , maybe four

Don't underestimate a classic...
A lot of handheld retro game device hobbyists seem to want to overlook the RG353VS in the 3.5" screen lineup. But the fact remains that it's an awesome handheld with the quality build that you expect from Anbernic. The d-pad and buttons are absolutely perfect. Analog sticks are plus for lots of old arcade games, not to mention Dreamcast and N64. This model also has dual SD card slots, so you can load one with the OS and the other with all of your games. As with most Anbernic devices, this one comes pre-loaded with several games and emulators (using their stock OS, which isn't terrible). But you can always upgrade and/or customize everything yourself with a little know-how. Then you'll have an awesome little retro handheld game console.
