EMEBAY - PS2 to HDMI Converter Adapter with 3.5mm Headphone Port Plug and Play Game Console

It’s a ok item it does make it possible to run ps2 games over a hdmi connection providing you change the setting from RGB to ypbprBut that’s where it kinda ends for meIf your looking to get a quality connection out of this then I recommend going the Component cable to HDMI box route rather then this,This is a budget quick win itemOk for those on a budget but really poorly designed,The plug itself doesn’t sit right, it seems to sit slanted downAnd then it has to be USB powered also which isn’t that much of a bother if it wasn’t for the fact that if your on a old big ps2 then you can’t stand it up as the usb cable protrudes below the bottom of the console due to the location of the tv out port,And if you have a ps2 slim then the USB port is jammed up forcing the power cable to almost be dislodged,It’s a bloody stupid design flaw which could of easily been moved to the other side of the unit which would have solved the issue with both consoles,Any way as I say it’s a ok solution if your on a budget,It’s ok on normal use apart from a tad dark and on screen text gets fuzzy on some games and if you play in progressive scan then you get annoying lines going through the screen.

Do not buy if you’re tv is 4K, chances are like my tv you can’t reduce the picture quality to 480i which is the highest a ps2 will work on, waste of time and money, also it plugs in at an angle in which you can’t stand the PlayStation upright ? The idea of this converter is great and it will work on an old tv, but that kind of defeats the objective right ?

The person above obviously hasn't read the following use instructions : Go into the consoles settings and change the component video output to "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Br" before using the adapter, and then you're ready to plug and play!Before using this box, You have to use your old connection cable to go into settings and change from RGB to component. Then disconnect lead and insert the PS2 hdmi box.Works brilliantly, the image is so clear compared to scart lead.You better keep your old lead though as you'll need it for Ps1 games on a PS2. You can't play Ps1 games through this box as mostly all Ps1 games run in lowly 240p which modern TVs won't downgrade to.Great piece of kit, you won't believe the difference it makes over scart and is a great alternative for those who's TV doesn't support component.

Great it works, if you follow instructions from online reviews that doesn't come with it. You do need to connect it to an older tv to be able to change the settings from RGB to the other setting before plugging into hdmi tv. Connection not brilliant, need to wiggle it a bit but it works fine.

Did not work with any monitor (despite box indicating compatibility) I tried (tried three with HDMI, D I and VGA combinations). Worked okay with TV using HDMI, however image scrolls down when trying to play PS1 games.Didn't notice any image improvements in comparison to Component, so would recommend using that connection if available.

Finally got it to work but it should tell you to change the output settings in the instructions. Thank you to the people that have posted what to do

It works and enhances a bit of pictures' quality, BUT U DO NEED TO CHANGE THE DISPALY SETTING FROM AN OLD TV FIRST AND THEN USE IT TO PLUG AND PLAY ON A HD TV
