reasonably well but no app available as of this date
these work pretty well. you have to realize all of these test strips are not 100%.CYA color does not match so not sure why. Can not find the App on the iPhone store so I would check for it's availability before purchase if you want to use that.

What App? Save some money and buy one of the other highly rated, well reviewed products on Amazon
TL;DR - If you want test strips, there are other less expensive strips with great reviews on Amazon. If you want an app to help you interpret and log your results, this one ain't it.The only differentiating factor between this product and any other test strip is the app. App you say? What app? Exactly. My eyes have great difficulty discriminating among test results. The app sounded like a great idea. Until I tried to load it. The app loads in a language that is not English (I *think* it is Spanish, but not sure). The app requires an account. There appears to be no way to create an account. I checked the company website for a URL to the app. The acquachek website takes you to a site that results in an error message about a missing or incorrect URL.As for the test strips.... Are they accurate? I can't tell you. There is a 50 ppm variance in calcium hardness measurements between the acquachek strip and two other very popular strips sold on Amazon. The free chlorine number has a 1 ppm variance and the total chlorine number has a 3 ppm variance. There is a *10 point* variance in pH measurements. The alkalinity measurement has a 70 ppm variance. Cyanuric acid measurements have a 50 ppm variance. "Why don't you take it to your local pool store and compare the results?", you ask. I would love to do so. I don't have a local pool store. The nearest pool store is a 45 minute drive, they charge $10 for a water test, and they use ... you guessed it ... Acquachek test products.

Best Strips I've Used
I like strips for their ease of use, and I really like these because they measure CYA/Conditioner. I have been impressed with the accuracy, though they are not as on-point as liquid reagents. In general, though, they are "close enough," and they certainly are fast.I have used the app only a couple times. It works remarkably well, though it takes a while sometimes to get a good photo of the strip and I really haven't yet figured out why it sometimes works and sometimes does not. When. it does work, it's kind of cool. I'll be trying to perfect the technique.I've seen comparisons with much more expensive kits, and while the other kits are more accurate as far as knowing the exact level of various thing measured, these proved to be consistent and as accurate as the range can be. In my use they are very consistent and the items that duplicate my other test kit (total chlorine, free chlorine, PH, etc.) are almost spot on -- again within the relatively wide range each color splotch represents -- with that kit. The chart is easy to read.

Sounds good in theory…
Maybe I’ve done something wrong but I tried these with the hope of an exact reading with the app plus I got a hardness reading. The app doesn’t work for me, never has. By the time you get from the pool to your phone where there’s adequate light then hold the phone perfectly steady so camera will focus, the colors on the test strip are gone and the camera can never get a pic. They’re fairly useful in the manual mode but even then the coloring on the test strips isn’t accurate. I’ve also used the other basic strips of this brand with only 4 tests and they work 80% of the time. So I’ll either go back to those or maybe try a new brand.
