Too many seeds, but delivers numbness
Honestly, by the reviews on this product it clear a lot of people are oblivious to how sichuan peppercorns are used. Yes, there is an annoyingly large amount of seeds in this product which you would either have to pick through or put up with, but that's the only fault to be found. Some are saying they're only getting majority husks - that's the part you want! They have a lemon-y flavour which I don't find to be very pleasant, but delivers that amazing numbing sensation to your mouth. Dry roast the husks to mute the citrus and bring out it's woody notes. Then you can grind them to use in your food. I've heard this should be done in small batches based on your use as they may lose potency, though I can't confirm.Seriously, you do not want the black seeds in the pack. A lot of people are mistaken into thinking these are actually peppercorns. They have the texture of sand/glass and can completely ruin your meal. At first I risked it and made a powder without removing the seeds. Instant regret. Removing the seeds, however, will take forever so only bother if you have too much time of your hands. If not then I suggest you look for another product with less seeds in it.
