Good book
To me, it's a great book and I'm very happy with the purchase. It meets the needs of what I was trying to accomplish.

Did not meet expectations
Book is very theoretical. Not of much practical value if you are looking to use it on an actual M&A project. Also, the book does not do justice to post merger integration synergy capture topics. IT due diligence is also dealt at a high level. The templates available with the book are not of much value.Book is good for someone seeking to get basic understanding of what is involved in IT M&A. But it does not go deep enough where you could actually use it on a project. I wish they had more templates or case studies.

a good book comprising various articles written on M&A and IT
a good book comprising various articles written on M&A and IT...however, there is a lot of repetition of same stuff across different articles... one has to figure out what is useful in this and what is just a waffle

Great book on this rare topic
I was struggling to land a decent book on the topic of IT M&A and Due Diligence. I stumbled across this book by accident. It didn't have many reviews so I bought it not being sure if it would satisfy my needs. I would really glad that it turned out to be a great read on this hard to find topic. It provides an end-to-end overview of the merger/acquisition/carve-out process starting with IT Due Diligence ending on Day 2. The authors provide a lot of insights and self-explanatory cases.

Worth it
Good book to get initiated to best practices, especially if you're starting a new role in M & A post integration.
