Super colour saturation and reduced reflection
Polarising filters are magical things. They can reduce reflections from non metallic surfaces with merely a twist of the ring!Another use of polarising filters is to enhance colour saturation. Have you ever seen a photograph with the deepest blue sky you've ever seen and wondered how the photographer did it? Have you ever looked at your own pale blue, wishy washy skies and thought how on earth do I do this!?!? Look no further.By turning the ring on a circular polariser you can adjust the amount of the effect it will create. They work best when the lens is pointed at 90 degrees to the sun, in other words the sun is on your left or right, not in front or behind. They are useful wherever you want deeper colour saturation too such as on foliage. A polariser can cut out the reflection of the white sky on glossy leaves and foliage for landscape shots.Anyway, this Hoya polariser is well made and does all of the above. It's not the slimmest so you may need to look elsewhere for a special slim version if you're using on a super wide angle lens to avoid cropping image corners. For everyone else this is a versatile and handy addition to your kit at a very good price.

Seems pretty good
I bought this Circular Polarizing filter for my Dad for his birthday as he has just got a Canon 550D and wanted one of these. It came nicely packaged and has very good build quality. The only down-side is that I don't see a massive about of difference in the pictures with it and without it. It does add a little bit of depth to the blues of the sky and water and a little bit to the green but not quite as much as I would have hoped for.We use it now more as a lens glass protector which is a great secondary feature of this filter.

Super Job
This polarizing filter does a super job for the amateur photographer. It cuts down reflections and gives you nice blue sky's as long as you remember to keep the sun parallel to your filter, also reflections from water and non metallic objects are greatly reduced. This filter feels and looks a good quality build too. Hoya are a middle of the road company, but they are a very good middle of the road company for us that don't have very deep pockets, and make their products to a high standard for the money. If you are taking photos out of doors this is an essential piece of equipment. Very Recommended.

Excellent
I bought this filter for my Canon DSLR about ten months ago so I've had the opportunity to try it out a few times. I especially like taking landscape and coastal photos. My photography skills are pretty basic but I can already see a difference in my photos - particularly sky shots where the colour looks deeper and richer. The filter fits easily onto my camera and is a good quality product, particularly for the price.Delivery was speedy and it arrived in excellent condition. I'm really pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Never leaves the lens (almost)
My only criticism of this filter is that I'd like the polarizing effect to be stronger at the highest setting. For an amateur like me it's great, does the job and makes some pictures look soooo much better (landscapes, bright ambient light, through windows etc.). Recommend!

Smells of Quality
Hoya has made camera filters and lens, since the seventies of what I know of, and the quality of all Hoya filters is top notch. The only grumble is the case supplied are bit bulky to what they use to be.Keep it Hoya.

Hoya Circular Polarizing Filter.
I'm an amateur hobby photographer and the best filters are extremely expensive and intended for pro-photographers so this Hoya filter is surprisingly good considering it's cheap price and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I saw the exact same Hoya polarizing filter as this elsewhere in a well known high street photography equipment shop at just over double the price I paid here, so this is a bargain! :)Thanks CameraKing UK. :)

Great and easy to fit polarizing filter
I bought this to help bring out the colour of an otherwise dull looking scottish skyline when I'm out and about taking photos. The filter is light and easy to fit, simply screw it clockwise onto the lens and when done you can remove it by turning it anticlockwise. It feels very secure on the lens and does a great job of bringing out the colour of my photos while reducing glare.
