This is a superb machine - a computer with awesome power in its own right that can do things that my n00b car owner status can't comprehend yet! Luckily I have a relative that is very car savvy and has been able to test it out with me.Great battery life and a touch screen, there's a learning curve to how to use it - plenty of instructions and tutorials available and Phoenix customer support is excellent. Basically it's like a mobile electronic doctor for your car and allows you to program a wide range of features in your car. You can generate reports, find out if anything is wrong, fix software problems - the list is endless.A real professional piece of kit - I'd dare say too much for the home user! But I love stuff like this and learning how to use it. It connects via a cable and 2 years of free updates are promised...my only worry is what happens when the two years are up? How much does it cost to update the software? My MacBook Pro cost 10 times the amount of this thing and has incredibly complicated software updates and Apple doesn't charge me for updates...so dinging a star for the uncertainty of going running costs.
