The perfect Christmas gift — fun, easy to use, and amazing value
This was a Christmas gift for my “big boy” — my husband — and he LOVED it! The DJI Neo Three-Battery Combo is an amazing little drone that delivers way more fun and quality than we expected. The drone feels very well made, easy to use even for beginners, and incredibly fun right out of the box. The 4K camera produces great footage for its size, and the self-flying features make it enjoyable without feeling complicated or intimidating. The three-battery combo is a HUGE plus — honestly, it’s super necessary. It lets you enjoy longer flying sessions without constantly stopping to recharge, which makes the experience so much better. For the price, this combo is an excellent deal. Pros: Fun and intuitive to use (great for beginners and adults) Excellent build quality 4K video quality for such a small drone Three batteries included — very practical and needed Great value for the price Perfect gift idea Cons: None so far — it does exactly what we expected and more If you’re looking for a fun, high-quality drone for adults or a gift that will actually get used and enjoyed, this one is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

Great small drone!
Great value for money! It’s very durable even after it accidentally landed in the pool. The speed is fine for regular use and photography. It’s easy to use and maneuver with the app. The battery life is great, 15 minutes of use where typically batteries for drones like this last 5-10 minutes.

Great for its size, impressive and affordable
Probably the least capable DJI drone, but its so impressive for its size, its hard to believe something so small can do 4K video, fly 35 Mph, fly in FPV mode and fly up to 10 kilometers away! Its way under 250 grams so you don't have to register it with the FAA. I already had the Avata 2 so I didn't need the controllers or goggles, so this was pretty cheap to add to my fleet. You could fly it without a controller by just using hand signals, it flies with your phone, the motion 3 controller, the RCN3 controller, the remote controller 3 and even the RC2 controller, and it also works with Googles 3. Its great for flying around the house while I wait for sprint in Minnesota, I can't wait to get it outside!

Awesome drone!
A very fun drone to use. Great for beginners and pros alike. I was amazed at the quality of photos and videos having such a small camera. The drone is very stable in flight. I was also impressed that it could record audio and cut out the prop noise! It may be a little off, so you have to correct that in post production. Works great by itself, with a cellphone, or with the controller.

Fun Little Drone with Smart Modes and Impressive Tracking
I use the DJI Neo primarily for making content on trails and showing where I’m at in the world. It’s a compact, fun little drone with great automated modes that make it easy to get professional-looking footage without much setup. One of the things I really like is that it will literally fit in your pocket. That means I can take it anywhere without advertising that I have a drone in a public setting. The follow-me mode works perfectly, keeping me centered and moving smoothly through the shot. The three-battery combo is a big plus, giving me plenty of flying time. Each battery lasts around 30 minutes in calm conditions, though that drops in windier weather. This drone doesn’t do great in strong winds and doesn’t have any obstacle avoidance, so it’s best suited for open trails or beaches. On the plus side, it will retrace your path accurately—if you walk around a pole, it will fly around that pole. I use Dronie mode all the time, and Circle and Boomerang are great for dynamic shots. Helix is fun for stationary scenes. Just know that if you are trying to be stealthy, you're not. I also use my Avata 2 goggles and hand controller with it, which work great together. Indoors, it’s stable enough but not perfect. You’ll want calm conditions and smooth control movements. I haven’t tried it yet with my e-bike, but based on how well it tracks, I think it’ll keep up just fine. Pros: Fits in your pocket for easy carry Excellent automated flight modes Accurate tracking and path memory Great for creating travel and outdoor content Works well with Avata 2 goggles and motion controller Cons: No obstacle avoidance Struggles in windy conditions Not very stealthy due to the sound level Summary: This drone is a fun, creative tool for content makers who want cinematic shots without the bulk or hassle of larger drones. It’s pocket-sized, easy to fly, and performs beautifully in calm conditions. Perfect for trails, travel, and quick content creation.

Just perfect 😍
Perfect drone for beginners it’s totally worth it I’m in love with it, you don’t have to know how fly a drone it have automatic functions so you just click it and have fun. I’ll just advise that follow the instructions and DO NOT USE IN OPEN WATER!! I almost had a heart attack when I almost land in the middle of the lake beside that just perfect! 😍

Spectacularly disappointed
Purchased this as a combo, as I could see from the reviews that extra batteries were a good idea. Reviews gushed about the simplicity, stability and quality. They also gushed about it being "easy to set up". Hogwash! I'm an engineer who seldom needs to bother reading more than sentence of instructions for the thousands of gadgets I've set up over the last decades. This is very poorly designed and executed. 1. The DJI Fly App for Android isn't available from Google Play. It must be downloaded directly from DJI China. When trying to set it up, the security settings for Android require an override to allow the "untrusted location" to install an app. While I have a special phone and isolated Google account for using new apps I don't trust, I've seldom run across this kind of nonsense from a major consumer item manufacturer in over a decade. For the handful of PRC gadgets that have required this, they're seldom worth keeping. 2. DJI pushes one towards installing a number of DJI apps that have nothing to do with actually using one's drone. (I e. DJI Shop). Finding the link for the actual DJI Fly app is a PITA 3. The setup and initial connection itself is clunky. Of course, it requires a DJI account. One must set this up first before actually seeing if the drone is working. User email is the ID and one sets a password. There's no verification for the password, but at least it can be viewed in clear text. A little slow, and too many permissions are first optional, and then (later) are mandatory, or the process won't continue. Once it's satisfied with the last permission roadblock, it moves on to the next until you have given it all the full permissions you were given the option to limit earlier. 4. For the initial connection, one must select the model of drone. Even though the app is over 600Mb(!), it didn't have the drivers for the Neo. That was a separate download within the app. Fortunately, that was relatively painless. To connect to the Neo,the phone app disconnects itself from the house Wi-Fi, searches for the drone, and then offers you the option to connect to the drone it found. It then connects to the drone via WiFi. So far, so good. But, then one comes to the impassible roadblock: one has to "activate" the drone with DJI to actually do anything with it. To do that, you press an "Activate" button (which also has you agreeing to a lot a legalize that's apparently something different than the pages of legalize you've just agreed to in the last few minutes). Unfortunately, the activation CAN'T. work. It's trying to connect to the DJI servers through an internet connection it doesn't have, since it's connected to the drone. Unlike many apps controlling a device through Wi-Fi, it doesn't automatically disconnect from the device and connect to the previously connected home Internet. When one manually connects to the home Wi-Fi, it successfully "activates" but then it's disconnected from the Neo. Once one reconnects to the Neo, it's no longer Activated, and the DoomLoop repeats. DJI forums and tutorials offer no real help, just the the usual advice, like making sure the app is the latest version and restarting both the phone and the device, none of which work. As an example of how clueless they are, they also suggest updating the firmware on the Neo to the latest version, which is impossible without it first being activated. I've come across crappy app software and device integration on a number of cheap, low volume, barely hanging on startups. Seldom has it been this bad. Coming across this on the huge volume worldwide market leader is astonishing. Highly recommend looking elsewhere. (I'm not buying a separate DJI controller to attempt to get around this mess)
